Chapter twenty nine

Ah, a full day full of classes and other fulfilling stuff is fully done. Wow, that was nine 'fulls' but into that sentence. You should be impressed. So I was sitting on my bed in my dorm chatting with Echo, when Echo reguested she swap rooms with Nico. I honestly think she's just trying to get me and Nico in the same dorm. Not that I would have a problem with that...

So I walk up to Leo's room and knock before opening the door. "Hey Leo!" I called stepping in. "Yea wassup?" Leo said spinning away from his newest invention to face me. "Is it okay with you if I grab Nico and he stays in my dorm and Echo can stay with you?"

"Yeah sure whatever works for you guys." Leo winked turning back to work on his invention. "So, where is Nico to be exact?" I said a hint of suspicion in my voice. Leo nearly fell out of his chair as he turned to face me with worried eyes "I thought he was with you!" 

I was shocked. This ment Nico was probably alone somewhere. "No he's not with me!" "Well he's not with me either!" "Well fuck then I've gotta find him!" I screamed before running out of the dorm to get my coat.

I ran down the halls calling for Nico quietly as to not wake anyone up. I turned a corner and saw a figure standing in the shadows. As I walked closer I saw it was Octavian, the one and only bitch of his kind. "Looking for poor little Nico?" Octavian mocked stepping forward.

"Where is he?!" I raised my voice this time, fury and rage filled it. This idiot think he can mess with Nico? Well think again bitch. "Oh he's just out probably getting frostbite in a lot of places." Octavian smirked. "What did you do to him?!"

"Just boggled his mind twisting it with lies and make believe stories. I told him we where friends." Octavian said. "Bitch tell me where he is!" I screamed. "Only if your willing to pay the price." Octavian said ominously.

"What is the price?" I said a bit of fear in my voice. "If I tell you where he is, Echo comes to stay in my dorm and Leo stays with Josh. If you don't like these terms I will not tell you where he is. If you try to trick me I will make your life more miserable then you could even imagine."

"So this whole thing was just a set up!" I growled. I was really just buying time though. How do I choose between Echo Leo, and Nico? I know what will happen if I choose Nico. Echo will get teased, bullied, and abused by Octavian, but I know she's dealt with this many times in the past and can probably hold her own. But Leo, Leo has never been very capable of dealing with this kind of thing. He will get emotional at times and need support, he needs privacy and the ability to cry without being watched or teased. I can't let Leo go with Josh. But say I choose Leo and Echo, Nico could be being kidnapped or in a hotel somewhere or heck he could even be in another country! I need to know where he is cause he is obviously somewhere freezing half do death.

"I have all night, keep thinking and pick your favorite friend." Octavian smirked. "Why, you little turd blossom." Octavian just smirked at my outraged face. How was I supposed to fucking choose? How?! I knew the right thing to do would be to pick Leo and Echo knowing that Nico will most probably me okay, but I have to find him before someone finds me!

"I...I can't let you take Echo. Or Leo for that matter." I finally said. Octavian just made disappointed clucking noises, then said "So you pick Leo and Echo. Nico won't me happy." I was about respond when I heard Leo's voice say "Um, pick us for what?" I turned around to see the whole gang minus Rachel standing behind me.

"H-h...He's um....Making me choose." I said the anger very audible in my voice.  "Choose what?" Reyna said. "Leo/Echo, or Nico." everyone but Annabeth looked confused. "What happens, if you choose Nico? I'm assuming you get to know where ever Nico is hiding if you choose him, but what happens to Leo and Echo?" Annabeth said slowly.
