Percy (the next day)

A promise ring, of course. I'll just, you know, promise myself to him, but not in a sappy cliche way. No I'll just go by the ring, and I'll give it to him and be like "I promise you, I'll promise you one day, that we can be together forever, but I love you today and I promise you right now I always will." Yeah... Not sappy or cliche at all. I'll have to come up with something better then that.

I sat there, and pondered how I would tell Nico I loved him, when suddenly I realized he is probably furious with me right now. I almost laughed out loud, here I was, sitting on my lazy ass thinking of how I can express my love to Nico, when really he's probably thinking about how much I probably don't love him.

No, he can't think that, I won't let him. I should probably go find him, and tell him I'm sorry and that I love him. I was probably to controlling. Well, if I'm going to go tell him I love him, I can't think of a better time to give him the promise ring.

I ran over and grabbed the most Nico like ring I could find, which was just a ring, but it had skulls on it. Then I ran down stairs and found him sitting on the couch, with a cute little concerned-thinking face on. He looked up as I came down.

"Hey, Nico." I said, he just looked at me, with a slight inclination of his head and a scowl on his face. "Nico, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you, or told you how you felt or been so controlling or just got up and left or teased you or-"

"Percy..."

"Or been so rude to you or snapped at you earlier-"

"Percy."

"And I'm sorry for all of that I'm really sorry I shouldn't have-" And then he kissed me, just a short quick peck to shut me up I suppose. Then he hugged me and said:

"Percy, It's okay, I'm not mad at you."

"But... But you should be- I mean I-you have every right to- I was trying to tell you... Why..." I said, looking down at him, confused, and he just smiled, then buried his head in my neck and hugged me tightly.

"Because you where right, Percy. Because you where right Percy, you where right and I didn't even know." Nico mumbled into my shirt, and I hugged him back, suddenly feeling a strange mix of empathy satisfaction sympathy and guilt.

"I love you, Nico." I said when we pulled away.

"I love you too."

"No, I mean, I love you. I really, really love you. And I want to be with you, forever, because I'd never feel this kind of love for someone else." I said, pausing to pull the ring out of my pocket, and Nico was staring at me, slightly confused but defiantly intrigued. "I promise you, that one day when we're both old enough, I'll promise you that I love you. But, I love you today and I want to be with you right now, so I'll promise my love to you until we can be legally bound." I said, and handed him the ring.

He smiled, a big, wide smile, and slide the ring onto his finger. "Percy, I hope you know that was a little cheesy, which makes what I'm about to say all the more cliche. It's just, I hope you know how much this means to me, really honestly, it means a lot to me." And then he kissed me, before I could respond. Like, rude much? We ended up on the couch, Nico on top of me.

And then we kissed for a while until Leo came in and was like blah blah I'm Leo and I hate you all blah blah blah something about Annabeth not going to like something blah blah I didn't really hear because Nico and well Nico.

We just kissed for a while longer until someone grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the floor. And that someone was Leo. "Hey!" I said pushing myself into a sitting position. "How rude can one get!" I said. Nico laughed and Leo grunted.
