Reyna

I have been staying with Percy for almost a week, and I must say, it's quite comfortable. Thing is, I can't stay here forever. I'm going to have to leave, my disappearance -although I'm sure my parents won't mind- won't go unnoticed by my neighbors. It's only a mater of time until someone fucks the whole thing up and calls the cops, they'll search the house, see I haven't been there, and then they'll set out and search for me. My parents will probably play like I went out to Percykins house and never came back, but they just assumed I slept over. Then, the police will search his house, they'll find me and return me home. And then my parents will beat me up.

I'll have to leave, like, really leave at some point. Maybe I'll go hang with Calypso for a while, you know, they'd never know to search for me there. No one but my close friends know I know her. No one will suspect a thing.

But, that plan involves a serious sacrifice on my part. Percy. I've already asked him for help, witch I swore I'd never do, and I'll need him to help me even more, to cover for me. Also I'll have to leave all my friends and my life.

But mostly I'm worried about Percy. You see, me and Percy, we kind of have a history together. We used to date. It was nice, he was nice, it was fun. But it was sort of an in-the-moment kind of thing. But still, conversations are still awkward, and the tension levels are threw the roof when ever I have a one-on-on conversation with him. So yeah, fun.

But like, where did you think all those nicknames came from? Rey, Rey-Rey, Reya, Reyny, Ree-Ree, ReynaBeyna, Reyee. He came up with them all. I mean, what, did you think he just has random nicknames for all of his friends? As far as I'm aware, he doesn't go around calling Leo LeeLee.

And it's not like didn't have nicknames of my own. Oh, no, I had a special skill in coming up with the most bizarre nicknames that bothered the hell out of him and using them on him in public.

My nicknames usually consisted of thing like these: Percygursy, Percykins, Ickle Percykins, Percaderca, Percyflursy, Babzy Perzy, Percemerse, Percyjercy, PretaPertaPercyyyyyyy, Percykissykins, and there was a bunch more. They where really quite fun to come up with.

But, me and Percy, we're really a thing of the past. I'm over him, he's over me, but it's just those awkward moments... The ones where your not sure if you'd rather kiss the prat or punch him.

It's just, it's gonna make it extra hard to leave. I can't tell them I'm leaving. If I told him, well, he wants to be everyones hero. I know it was hard for him, some of our old schools have been pretty rough, and he just wanted to fit in. How do you fit in at a new school? First, you get recognized: For instance, Percy broke the record for the fastest swimmer in school during try outs. Second, you make friends: For instance, Percy met literally everyone who went to out school in the first week. Third, you pick a spot: For instance, our gang has a table we always sit at and everyone knows it. Those are the basics, otherwise you can just keep your head down and try not to draw attention to yourself. But Percy was very enthusiastic, he wanted not just to be recognized, but to be popular.

So, he became the little hero he is today. He decided that to be popular, you need to, well, save someone. And that's what he did. With everyone. Every chance he got. And now he want to be a hero to everyone who crosses his path. So you see, if he knows I'm leaving, he'll try and convince me to stay, he'll call up Leo and Annabeth who'll try to convince me to stay, and as much as I love them, I'd much rather someone support me, for once in my life. I wish they'd just step aside, step aside and tell me 'it's okay' 'we'll miss you' and 'good luck!'. But no, it's going to be a huge deal and I'll never get away with it.

It's not like I want to cut all ties with them, either! Just for the first few... Months... I'll leave a note, though, telling them not to call the police, or tell the police they've had any contact with me since before I ran away from home, and that I've changed my number but I'll call them when I get the chance. If they believe me, then maybe they'll cover for me. I just hope they believe me.
