Chapter twenty three

Nico

I ran away from Percy, and Eco. And Eco... Like who is this Eco person? She thinks she can just show up and take away my Percy? My Percy. I think not. I don't care if she's mute! I don't care if she has other problems! I don't care about how she is so freaking nice to everyone! That was my Percy. And now he has a girlfriend. This was what I was afraid of, that he would come here and find a new love interest then admitting to me he was not gay and he lied.

I ran up to a tree, the deadest tree I could find, but it wouldn't be anything like my tree. Oh, the time I spent under that tree, just waiting for the bell to ring. Why was I even here? Percy lied to me for gods sake! Why would I come here with him after he lied? I could be under my tree right now! But no, I'm here wasting my love one a liar!

I ran up to the tree and slammed my fist against the tree and slowly sank down the rough bark. It was all the same. Just a big long cycle, a never ending rode of Percy getting new girlfriends and convincing me they weren't dating. It wouldn't stop. The lies wouldn't stop coming.

"Nico?" a quiet voice came from behind me. I turned, tears in my eyes and saw the person I least wanted to see, it was Percy. "What do you want?" I said in the same manner I would have talked to him in our first conversation. "I want to know what happened while you where with Leo. One moment we're all cuddly and jokes, next thing I know your treating my like you did when I returned your sketch book." Percy said sitting next to me.

"Ugh Percy you don't understanddddd!!!!!" I said dramatically. Percy laughed a little and said "I don't understand, that's why I'm asking." I was silent. How do you respond to that? "It's Eco, isn't it? You two have a history? She's the only thing that's different about me." I sighed. He's really smarten then he gets credit for.

"Yes, it's Eco. But it's not what you think. I've never met her until now, honest." I said looking down.  Percy grabbed my chin and moved it so I was forced to look into his beautiful memorizing eyes, swirling with different shades of the sea, but concern shown brightly in those wonderful eyes. "If it's not what I think, then Nico.... What is it? Did she do something?" he said barley more then a whisper. "Nothing knowingly!" I groaned and fell over on Percy.

"Okay, man, tell me what happened. I want the honest truth." Percy said playing with my hair. I sighed and said up. "Okay, but don't freak out." I said giving him a quizzical look. "Never." Percy whispered  leaning forward slightly.

"You lied." I said bluntly. Percy's eyes widened and he said "No! I swear I didn't! When?" I mock laughed and said "Percy, Percy, Percy... The only person here your fooling is yourself. First Annabeth, and now Eco. My dear Percy, your about as gay as I am straight." I sighed.

"Nico," Percy said warning you "In this situation your the one lying. Lying to yourself. I am gay, there's no question in my mind. Annabeth is practically my sister plus she's lesbian, and Eco... Oh my dear Eco, I am very protective over her, but that means nothing romantic."

I just stared at him and said "Percy, your in over your head with this. If your playing with me, that is a really bad idea." Percy laughed saying "And why, my little ghost king, is it such a bad idea?" I growled and said "Because I like you Percy! I really like you!" Percy just smiled and said "Oh! Is that what this is all about? Is it you being jealous of Eco? Cause there's nothing to be jealous of. I know you like me, Nico." He knows I like him,  but does he know how much I love him? "H-How did you know that?" I said. "Well, when I looked in your sketch book that one time I saw they where all drawings of me, with references of kissing and stuff on them. Also that time you asked me to prove I was gay, you just wanted me to kiss you." Percy said, her smirked as a blush deepened in my cheeks. "But it's okay, I like you to." Percy said, that surprised me.

"Haha, very funny." I scoffed folding my arms and glaring at him. "No, no! Nico, I'm serious!" Percy said desperately. "Then why didn't you tell me?! If you knew I liked you, and you liked me back, did you just want me to suffer!?" I said. "No. Nico, what I did was you didn't suffer. As cheese as it is, what I did, I did for your own good. It hurt me, but I pretended I didn't know you liked me. Cause if we where in a relationship, people would bully you more. Even more girls would try to come in between us, more bullies would come after you. You'd get hurt everyday at school, and I can't watch something like that happen t my baby." His baby. he just called me his baby. His baby. Since I was twelve, I've been waiting for this to happen. I am Percy Jackson's baby.

 I leaned forward and said "In that case, Perseus, can I?" Percy just stairs at me completely oblivious to what I was getting at. "Can you what?" Percy said confused.  "When you gave me my sketch book, you told me I could just ask if I ever wanted to taste your lips. I resisted the urge until now, so I was asking. Can I taste your lips?" 

Percy just smirked and said "Only if I can taste yours." he grabbed me around the waist and sat me down on his lap. With hesitant lips I leaned forward. Our lips touched, and mine moved on his in perfect sync. I rapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. I licked his lips tenderly asking for entrance, he obliged and my tongue slipped in and explored his mouth. Then his tongue came up and our tongues resealed for a moment, his easily beating mine. His tongue went into my mouth and marked every corner.

We where mid-kiss when a voice interrupted us "Woa! I never though I'd live to see the day, my ships became cannon!" We broke apart to see a very excited Annabeth with the whole gang behind her. I blushed deeply and Percy just pulled me into close to him, so my back was against his chest and his chin was resting atop my head. This only made me blush more.

"Let's face it, we all knew it was coming." Percy said smugly and held me tighter, kissing my forehead. They all just made small agreeing noises or shrugged. Then Percy turned to me and said "Hey Nico?" "Yeah?" "Wanna be my boyfriend?" Thrill washed threw me. This was a moment of a life time. This is my wildest dreams come true. "Hmm.... I dunno..." I said though joy filled me. I kissed Percy again, short this time and no tongue, but just as amazing. "Was that a yes?" Percy said smiling "That was a yes."

A/N: eeeeeeeccccckkkk theyyyyyyyy finalyyyyyyyy got togetherrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! I love the way this chapter went, but I'm open to feedback. 

Question: Do you think Percico should have gotten together sooner? It is chapter 23 after all.
