complications - Maria Hill

part 9- the morning

I woke up to my phone vibrating like mad. I tried to sit up but felt a heavyweight on my chest. I looked down and saw maria hill peacefully sleeping with her arms wrapped around my torse and her head snuggling into my neck.

I slowly moved from maria and placed a body pillow in place of myself. I grabbed my phone, slipped on some clothes, and went into the dark kitchen to make a coffee.

I looked at my phone to see that it was 6:30 am. I walked into the living room towards my PC, and I saw a shadow sat on my couch I paused.

"I need to get better security in this place," I said.

"Nice to see you too Nova," the voice said.

"fury what do you want and why couldn't have this waited until I was at work," I said.

"well, I wanted to talk to you both in a secure place where I knew no one else would be," he said

"what do you mean both of you there is only us two here," I said confused.

"do you think I was born yesterday I know Agent hill is currently sleeping in your bed," he said with a smirk on his face

"no no no no no don't make that face nothing is going on with me and her ok she came over after all the Loki thing happened told me and then passed out in the lap that is it," I said sitting in my gamers chair and taking a sip of my coffee.

I heard a noise coming from my bedroom catching both mine and Nick's attention.

"looks like sleeping beauty is waking up" he smirked, and I nodded.

"you're good for each other you know you bring out the true Maria in her and lets her walls down you both do, and I see the way you look at each other's you like each other... don't throw that away," he said

Fury's phone went off and he sighed. "well looks like I'll have to talk to you both later" as he walked to my front door, he turned back a said, "watch her closely today please she is going to be fragile after what happened with Coulson, she won't admit it, but she needs that support".

When fury left, I put don my coffee and walked into my room hoping to see maria awake but only to see her shaking and her face scrunched up.

...nightmare...

I move around and lifted her off the bed a bit and I laid down and put her on top of my hugging her. She was mumbling the same word repeatedly "no. stop" I brushed her hair with my fingers and shushed her to calm down. After a couple of minutes, her eyes shot open, and she was taking shaky breathes and cries a bit.

"Hey, you're okay just a dream, "I said.

"What happened last night," she said and cuddled into me more.

"well, you told me about Loki, and you ended up falling asleep for the exhaustion of crying so I put you in here to sleep because I didn't want to wake you and I didn't think you should be alone, and I still don't not after the last couple of days," I said truthfully meaning every word.

"What time is It I need to get to work," she said getting off my lap.

"no, you don't you're staying here today with me and anyway fury won't want you in today trust me he cares about you too much," I said putting her into my lap again.

"well, what we going to do if I have to stay here." She spoke.

"well, I have about over 1000 movies and tv shows on my tv and I have video games" I offered.

We decided on movies. So, we both showered SEPARATELY then we sat in the living room with quilts and blankets and watched some movies for the rest of the day.
