chapter 35

it had been a couple of weeks since Alfie was born and he was out of his incubator and in his cot asleep. I was sitting on the bed doing some paperwork when Maria walked in her uniform.

"whats up love" i asked.

"babies asleep"  she asked.

"yep Alfie went down twenty minutes ago and Seb has been asleep for 45 minutes and should be awake soon," I said closing my laptop.

"good well i just finished up and fury wants to see you" she said laying down.

i signed and got out of bed and walked to the closet and got into a suit. "well ill see you in a bit" I kissed her on the lips and walked out and towards Furys office.

I walked in and sat down "what you need pirate" I asked.

"so I have a mission for you it's a small one-" he said but I cut him off

"no no no no I and not going on a mission I have 3 week old and a 1year old I'm not gonna leave Maria to juggle them too and then her job I'm the sorry boss but its not gonna happen" i said.

"Listen you're the only man I have for this job and it's one night I promise all I need you to do is find this gang's hideout and that is it I already have a task force ready when you give the signal," he said and I sighed.

"yeah ok sure when do I go," I asked.

"an hour," he said and dismissed me I nodded and walked out and back to the room.

i walked in and packed a night bag. maria walked in with Alfie in her arms and asked "what did he want"

"an overnight mission a stakeout," I said.

"your joking right" she said.

"i know but I can't do anything about it its for one night and i wont get hurt because it isn't that much of a mission if you get me" i said.

maria sighed and said"what about the boys"

"I don't know but there with you'll so you will be fine and you have the team so you're not alone I will be back tomorrow night ok," I said and she nodded.

"I love you," I said.

i kissed her on the lips and Alfie on the head then i walked into Bass' room and kissed his head since he was still asleep and walked out to go to the garage to go and drove. after about a two-hour drive I arrived at where the gang was hiding out. i parked behind an abandoned apartment that was opposite where the gang was or well the club.

I got to the third-floor apartment and set up the cameras, I sent a message to Fury that I was there and sat down to take pictures of everyone going in and out of the club.

it had been 14 hours and a dozen of cups of coffee later I called Fury to say that they were ready to go. I waited for them to all pull up and then I packed up and go into the car and drove home.

I walked into our apartment sorta thing to hear crying. I walked into our room to see both kids crying Alfie in Maria's arms and Seb on the bed and Maria walking around trying to calm Alfie down.

"Hey, what's going on," I asked catching her attention.

"I don't know I don't know," she said panicking.

"hey kay ill take them to you go for a bath ok a long bath" i said and she nodded giving me a crying Alfie and walked off.

i sat on the bed and grabbed Seb putting both boys in my lap.

"whats the matter bud" i asked Seb wiping his tear.

he didn't answer so i moved onto Alfie. i checked his but if he was hungry but instead i did moved his legs about and tried to get him to give grass and it worked and he calmed down.

"you feeling better my boy" i said kissing him and then set him down. I turned to Bass who was sucking his thumb.

"talk to my bud," I said.

"I don't know," he said crying again climbing into my lap.

"what are you feeling," I asked.

"i miss you" he said.

"you missed daddy," I said and he nodded into my neck.

"you no go more" he said.

"you don't want me to go," I said and he nodded again.

"ok ok well I'm not going anywhere ok" i said.

Maria came out of the bathroom and got into some pyjamas on sat next to us.

"everything ok" she said as she got ready for a feed with Alfie.

"yeh we talked just missed me and he wansnt passing any gass so he is also happy now" i said and Maria nodded and started breastfeeding Alfie.

i looked at the clock to see it was 7 "has he had some food" i asked.

"no but the others are having some spaghetti" she said.

I turned to Bass and asked "you want some pasta" and he nodded.

I put him on the floor and then we walked out into the kitchen and got some pasta and we ate it. we walked back we walked into the room to see that Maria and Alfie were asleep. I walked into Bass's room and got him ready for bed and gave him some warm milk.

"Love you, buddy," I said.

"love you daddy" he said.
