it had been a few months since my first mission since Alfie was worn and he was 3 months old now. I sat in the back garden with the boys in the little sandpit. Alfie was in my arms having a bottle whilst Bass was playing.
"daddy," Bass asks.
"what's up bud," I said.
"en mummy om," he said.
"mummy is gonna be home soon baby," I said. Maria was out getting some clothes for Bass since he had grown out of most of his clothes.
"en," he said.
"you wanna call her," I said.
"no, I pee," he said.
"let's go to the toilet then" is aid and we got up and walked inside to the toilet. I put Alfie down in his swing and walked to wear Bass was. I took his trousers and nappy placed him on the toilet and held him so he wouldn't fall.
we wanted to attempt to get him potty trained because with Alfie and Bass in nappies it wasn't the easiest thing changing both their butts so we thought why not try and see where it takes us. we started when Alfie was about a month and we just said to him tell us when you need one or if you have had one and he is doing amazingly. we also started putting him on pull-ups so then he can easily get out of them hasn't been the best idea at times bc he just takes it off and walks around butt naked but oh well.
after Bass peed we got him called up and put him back in the pull-up and then went back outside but was sidetracked with Maria bringing in the kitchen.
"mommy" Bass shouted
"Bass" she shouted back as he jumped into her arms.
"Hey, baby," she said to me and kissed me on my lips.
"hey gorgeous get everything," I said and she nodded and said "new clothes for Bass and got some stuff for me and you"
"oh what'd you got me," I asked?
"some shirts and boxers," she said.
"thank you and what'd you get yourself," I asked.
"now that is for tonight," she said handing me some bags and then grabbing the rest and we walked into the room.
"nice," I said.
"and we gotta talk," she said placing them onto the bed.
"I haven't been smoking the weed near the kids I promise," I said in a panic.
"what no I don't care about that well I do but anyway it's not that I promise," she said.
"oh god," I said and went to go grab Alfie who was fussing in the swing.
"then what is it," I asked.
"your gonna hate me for this well not me but Fury," she said and my pace dropped a bit.
"and what does that Pirate bitch want," I said knowing exactly what was coming.
"He needs me to go on a mission," she said and I sighed.
"why you out of the entirety of SHIELD why you are the only member out of thousands of agents that's on maternity leave and he has what 15 of the most powerful people in his grasp and he choices you why," I said beyond pissed.
"I don't know but he says I leave in a week," she said coming up to me and sitting next to me.
"Sometimes I wish I could retire," I said.
"whys that," she asked.
"This guy man he can't even let us have our maternity leave I mean he is 3 months old for heaven's sake do you think he should wait for us to be back on duty until he snaps his fingers got I do hate him sometimes," I said looking at Alfie who was peacefully and then Bass who was looking through all his new clothe quietly.
"hey we are gonna be fine I will come back for the mission and we will leave go on holiday with the kids and tell no one until we have to come back how about that," she said and I nodded.
"we you wanna go," she asked.
"how about Dubai," I said.
"why not never been," she said and I nodded.
"shall we book it now or get these monkeys to bed," I said seeing Alfie wide awake.
"Yeah we all need to eat tea though," I said and I nodded.
"Bass what do you want for tea mate," I asked.
"toasties," he said.
"toasties is it then," I said getting up and we all walked into the kitchen. I cooked food and we all sat around the table as a family. I then got Seb all sorted for bed whilst Maria did her thing with Alfie.
I put Bass in his coat and handed him his milk "I love you bud" I whispered giving him his monkey and putting his blanket on him.
"love you too daddy," he said with his bottle in his mouth. I walked out turned the light off and the monitor was on and walked into Alfie's nursery to see Maria rocking with Alfie as he ate.
"he asleep," she asked me about Bas.
"no just let him drink his bottle gonna go in in about 30 then take the bottle how's our baby monkey doing," I said.
"well he isn't sucking my nipple to death tonight so that's always a bonus," she said. Alfie was an angry eater so when he gets hungry he would eat like Maria is running out of milk.
"yeah that is good," I said.
"I think he got it off you," she said and I looked at her confused.
"and how is that," I asked.
"well also likes to suck and chew the shit out of my boob as well," she said.
"not for milk though," I said.
"not yet," she said.
"wait what," I said.
"you are one kinky fuck Noah I wouldn't be surprised if you tried to nurse," she said getting up to our Alfie in his coat leaving me shocked.
"hold up are you suggesting we try it because I am a kinky fuck" I said turning to face her and she just shrugged walking out.
"holy shit you are and then you call me the kinky one I mean I'm down I have a bunch of shit wrong with me," I said and she looked at me.
"so I'm gonna go check on Bass," I said walking out of our room and down the hall to Bass'. I checked on him to see he was fast asleep and took his empty bottle and walked back out.
I walked back out of the room and into ours and closed the door behind us.
