"Come on let's go baby." I said to Hannah as we got ready for the final hearing. I couldn't believe a month had already passed. I was really scared of what was going to happen. I still never got a hold of Thelma and without her, this case is lost.

"Are we driving there daddy?" Hannah asked. Honestly I couldn't drive anywhere right now. My mind was everywhere and the worst thing is driving and getting into an accident I would loose Hannah right from the hospital bed.

"No baby. We'll take the subway." I said and got dressed in a shirt and put on a jacket as I walked her out to where we would get a train. We got into a train and was to get to our destination in about twenty minutes. Enough time to think of something to say as to why Thelma didn't turn up,

I looked over at Hannah and she was in a world of her own she didn't really know much of what was going on as she didn't come to the first hearing but this time around they requested she be present.

The train sounded and it meant we had gotten to our destination. Everyone started rushing out and I held Hannah's hand as we got off the train. I immediately saw her and she knew I could tell with one glance, one look, one simple instant. It was her eyes. Despite the thick makeup, they were still dark-rimmed., haunted, and sad. Most of all though, they were familiar.
The fact that we were in front of hundreds of strangers changed nothing at all.
I'd spent a summer with those same eyes-scared, lost, confused-staring back at me. I would have known them anywhere.

It was Thelma!

"Thelma!" Hannah shrieked as she rushed to hug her.

"T-Thelma?" I wasn't sure if it was or I was dreaming. What was she doing here? Where had she been?

"Hannah baby!" She cried as she carried Hannah in her arms and twirled her around.

Omg it was really Thelma.

"Jerry!" She cried as I moved closely to her.. each step heavier than the last... everyone suddenly disappeared and it was as though was just the three of us in the subway.

"I've missed you!" I let out a little cry as I hugged her... I couldn't hold my tears back in as I broke down and started crying. She cried also and we were like that for a long time.

"Where have you been?" I asked cleaning my eyes.

"Long story... but I'm sorry for ghosting you. I did look for you." She said as I heard the train honk meaning it was about to leave.

"Oh shit yes the hearing. Thelma a lot has happened but I'll explain on the way I need you to come with me. She agreed and we rushed to the court.

I told her everything she needed to know and how I needed her help to keep custody of Hannah which she happily agreed to.

We got to the court and we were about to enter when I stopped her. Something was missing.

"Wait."

"What's wrong? She asked looking confused.

"Your baby? Where's your baby?" I asked noticing her belly wasn't big anymore.

"He was still-born. That's all over now, let's go save Hannah so we don't  loose another child." She said and gave me a brief kiss before we went in.

I'm pretty sure we all know what happens from here on.
Thelma always wanted a family that was why she was happy of her baby but what she didn't know was that her family has always been there in Jeremy Brown and Hannah Brown.

Jerry made a lot of mistakes but one mistake he never made for loving Thelma.

Author's Note
No matter what we may be going through in this life, no matter how enormous it may look or seem, there's always a bright light at the end of road. Or as the popular saying goes "there's always light at the end of the tunnel"

It may seem like Thelma's life is full of hardships, sadness and tears but this only shaped her and made her stronger... of course she couldn't do it alone that's why in whatever you may be going through, you need friends. Not just any friends Real Friends that would be with you no matter what.
Abebarin was that friend for Thelma and even if she came into her life late as most may see it, she came at the most crucial point where Thelma needed a real friend.

Thank you all so much for reading and sticking with me through all the slight errors, delays and inconsistency from my part. I really hope we all find our Abebarin and we are happy in life

God bless you❤️
