*Ring Ring*
Oh my gosh what was that annoying sound I was hearing? Was my head pounding so hard?
I flickered my eyes gently as I rubbed them with my fingers... I still wasn't having a clear vision of where I was and I didn't like it... I dabbed they a bit more with my fingers as I could see better now.. I was in a room... geez that's not safe... until I looked beside me and saw Bunmi... what the hell was she doing here.
"Bunmi?! What happened?" I asked almost in a roar as she jumped out... I must've woken her up... she looked confused also.
"Why you yelling?!" She asked rubbing her eyes.. I trolled my eyes down to her feet and saw she wasn't wearing what she wore last night.
"What happened last night? Why you on bed with me?" I asked as I swiftly got up and noticed my top was off I was only left with my jeans.
"Chill you'd have asked instead of yelling... nothing happened, you got too high and wanted to sleep so I helped you to my room and also crashed here... so stop fuzzing about over nothing.
That was reassuring at least but I knew Thelma wouldn't even like the story at all... she was supposed to be on the morning flight here.. OMG what's the time? I rushed to grab my phone which was hanging on the drawer... it was almost 10am. Her flight was 8:40am she must've been waiting for me all these while... I scrolled down my call log and saw her missed calls.
I rushed out and picked a T-shirt before running out to the garage but stopped when I saw the gate opening.. who could it be?
I couldn't finish thinking as I saw Thelma alight from a cab... SHOOT!
"Jerry! What the heck are you doing here?! I've called you number like a billion times. You were supposed to pick me up from the airport thirty minutes ago!" She yelled
"Six times actually." I corrected... this was certainly not the time to bring out my sense of humor because she certainly didn't find it funny.
"Why are you in Bunmi house?" She demanded and she wasn't even smiling at all.
"I can explain.." I said hoping an explanation would pop up but nothing did until Bunmi walked out... she certainly planned the perfect time to stroll out.
"Can you at least come inside? It's quite sunny this morning." Bunmi offered with a quick smile but Thelma wasn't smiling... she indulged in her request and walked in... Hannah rushes out to hug her when she saw her,
I just sat down thinking of what to do and what to say to Thelma about this morning that wouldn't cause a quarrel between us.
"Jerry crashed at my place when he came to pick Hannah... it was already late so I asked him to stay over for safety purpose... nothing happened you shouldn't worry.
I noticed Thelma angry reduce a bit but didn't still mean I was in the clear.
"But you didn't come to pick me up... I got to your place and asked the security and he said you never came home so I asked him if he knew you place and he was the one that directed him here."
"Yes I'm really sorry about that... I woke up extremely late was really tired." I begged and I guess she bought it.
"So breakfast?" Bunmi asked as she got up.
"Uh I guess." Thelma said dryly as Bunmi went to the kitchen.
Phew that was a lucky one. I was surprised Bunmi didn't use this opportunity to out me to Thelma.

Thelma's POV
Where the hell was Jeremy?! I had been calling his number for over five minutes now and he wasn't picking up... I just arrived in Lagos and he was nowhere to be found... I thought he missed me more than to forget to pick me.
"Pick up." I said to myself as I dialed his number again.. it didn't go through so I figured I'd find my way to his place myself.
I got to his house as the security opened the gate for my cab as I got in..
"Madam Oga is not around." The security said as I stopped and turned to him.
"Not around ke... where did he go?"
"He didn't come back tonight. He went to Madam Bunmi house to pick up Hannah."
The name Bunmi just sent shivers down my spine.. that was his ex why did he go to her place and why wasn't he back? Did he sleep there? Did he sleep with her? I had a lot of questions I certainly wasn't going to answers here by myself.
"Do you know where she lives?" I asked determine to bolt in there and cause a scene.
"Yes Ma." The security said as he gave me the address and I dropped my luggage with him and got into my cab to head over to Bunmi's home.. luckily she stayed in next estate not too far from Jerry.
I got there and explained to the gate man who I was here to see and he opened the gate for me and as I got out I saw him rushing out... he looked like he just saw a ghost! I was really annoyed at him and was ready to unleash on him but seeing his face again... how could I love someone this much?

How was this chapter guys? Phew that was a lucky one for Jeremy for real... that could've been the end of he and Thelma... but is it only me that feel he would still get casted? 🤔
