I woke up on the couch with Lachlan's arms around me.
Does this seem familiar? I asked myself sarcastically.
I tried to move off of the couch, but Lachlan's grip tightened.
"No... don't leave. This is so comfortable for me," Lachlan sleepily whispered. I smiled.
"Sorry, bud," I replied and attempted to move off again, but he made his grip even tighter.
"Okay, now you're just going to suffocate me," I said in a strained voice. Lachlan laughed and opened his eyes.
"Sorry, Dez, I wasn't asking for much," he said innocently and loosened his grip. I laughed and got up from the couch. I began walking to the kitchen until arms were wrapped around my waist. They whipped me around to make me face Lachlan.
"Wow, nice moves," I said sarcastically. He grinned and kissed my lips.
"So are we a thing now?" I asked after he tilted his head back.
"Well, I never actually did ask you to be my girlfriend... so probably no." I frowned.
"So what does that make us? Friends with mild benefits?" I asked and he laughed.
"I guess..." he said, muttering something after that and turned around to walk to the kitchen. I ran after him and jumped onto his back, and he stumbled forward.
"Wait, what did you say?" I asked suspiciously.
"I don't know, what did I say?" he asked back in a silly voice. I laughed.
"I asked you first, answer me, Power," I said in a low voice and put my arm around his neck.
"Never!" he yelled and tugged me off of his back. I fell on my backside.
"Wow, that's just cold," I said laughing.
I got up and made pancakes for the other guys and served myself a few. I poured milk into a cup and grabbed syrup from the pantry. I sat down at the table next to Lachlan.
"Ah, so now you don't sit there anymore?" Lachlan asked smirking. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not eating cereal. I'm eating pancakes, and I eat syrup with pancakes. I don't want to make a mess over there," I told him and stabbed a pancake with my fork.
"Sure, or maybe 'cause you just wanna be near me?" he asked and put two hands like a bridge under his chin while pouting. I shook my head. He sighed.
"Can't you just say 'yes'?" I laughed.
"Why?"
"Maybe because it might boost up my confidence," Lachlan suggested and I raised my eyebrows.
"Seriously? Just for that?" I asked and got up from the table. He replied with a silly grin.
"You're a strange child, Lachlan," I said giggling and dumped my dishes in the sink.
"No, I'm special. There's a difference. No one else has the brains like the glorious Lachlan Power," he insisted and tapped his temple with a finger.
"True, true," I said and kissed his cheek as I passed by him. "I'm going to take a shower and change, I'll see you later." I walked to my room and undressed to take a shower. I turned the water knob and began to shower. I hummed the tune of "Sweater Weather" (one of my favorite songs irl :3 anyone else?) as I washed my hair. I was in the middle of scrubbing my body when I heard a knock on my bedroom door.
"Um, Desiree? Can I talk to you for a sec? It's sort of important." I heard the door creak open, and I started to freak out. My bedroom had a bathroom (the one I was currently in) and it didn't have a door for privacy. And the shower walls were glass. So whoever was trying to come in would see me completely naked if I didn't find cover.
