Desiree's POV

"Wow, Olive Garden, huh?" I giggled and squeezed Lachlan's arm as we walked out of the parking lot and towards the restaurant. "I approve of your choice."

"Hey, but this is no ordinary Olive Garden, Dez. Oh no. This, this is the fancy style Olive Garden. It's really cool and I know you'll like it," he said confidently with a smile. "Plus, this one is right near a pretty forest."

"But I thought all Olive Gardens were the same?" He shrugged.

"This one is unique. Like y-" I pressed a finger against his lips.

"Dude. I know that being cheesy is a part of dating and whatever, but try stay away from it, okay?" I said and laughed before putting my arm back to my side. He nodded and slightly chuckled, snaking his arm around my waist.

Preston opened the door for everyone to walk in, and I gave him a sympathetic smile as I passed him. He returned a halfhearted one back.

My eyes scanned the entrance to the restaurant and widened at the sight. It was really pretty. The décor was different- it was a lot nicer than the everyday Olive Gardens you see. It looked really nice and modern, with big beautiful glass chandelier hanging in the middle of the entrance, and others identical in the dining areas.

"Whoa... I didn't know these existed," I gaped and saw in the corner in my eye that Lachlan was enjoying the fact how much I like it.

"Thanks, Google," Lachlan said happily. I gently punched him on the shoulder and giggled. He walked up to the desk and told the desk our reserved name, then a waiter came to take us to a large round table in the middle of the room, above the chandelier.

"Ooh, fancy fancy, Lachy. Nice choice," Mitch said approvingly and smirked while elbowing Lachlan. He glared at him then pulled out my chair for me.

"Instagram dis joint!" Jerome suddenly said and took a selfie with the chandelier in the background. Lachlan sat down next to me on my right, and Preston sat down across from me, still staying quiet.

"Okay, so what would you guys like to drink?" the waiter asked when everyone sat down.

"Water," I said and the others ordered the same. It became awfully quiet at our table, then Mitch started to talk with Lissa about something like spaghetti sauce.

"So," Lachlan said and looked at me. "You like the place?"

I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Of course, I like it. You could have taken me to McDonald's and I would have been happy. I'm just glad you're here with me."

A pained look appeared on Preston's face and he looked away from us. Crap. I forgot he was right there. He sparked up a conversation with Rob about their next plans on factions, and Jerome and Vikk were busy browsing through their social media accounts, their faces illuminated light blue. The other two girls chatted about the newest Prada bags that just came out and how much they adored it.

"Water for everyone," the waiter announced and set a cup of water down in front of everyone on the coasters.

"Thanks," we all said in unison.
