Mitch's POV

I feel so guilty.

Desiree found out about the bet with Lachlan and I.

She's been talking to us less and less since.

Lachlan even said that she wouldn't talk to him at all at school, only if he starts a conversation.

But she would turn it down anyway.

I can't live my life without regretting that I screwed up with Desiree.

I need to do something about it soon.

Desiree's POV

I'm sort of avoiding Mitch and Lachlan, taking my time to think about everything they've done.

But anyways, I've got the rest of the guys, Lillia and Haley, plus Jake.

I've actually been spending more time with him than the others.

Even though it was only Mitch and Lachlan who did something wrong, I feel like that I should take a break from them and everything.

I still call and Skype Preston everyday, though. He's been helping me through this the most.

"Hellooo?" is always how he answered my Skype calls and phone calls.

"Hey, Preston," I greeted back.

"Hey, how are you doing?" I shrugged.

"Okay, I guess. I'm healing from the hurt," I said and smiled a little.

"Have you been talking to the both of them lately?" he asked and put his head on his palms. I hesitated for a little.

"No... not really," I admitted. I saw him smile.

"You can't avoid them forever, you know," he said gently.

"Yeah, I know," I said and sighed.

"You have to do something about it," he said and I rubbed my arm, looking out the window.

"Okay, I guess I will. But I feel like I need to space myself a little further," I finally said.

"That's good, you just- oh hold on... Desiree, I have to go, I'll talk to you later, okay?" he said an apologetic voice and held up his phone.

"Y-yeah, okay, I'll see you later," I said and smiled. I waved before ending the call, leaning back on the chair.

I took my phone and plugged in my headphones, pressing them into my ears.

I scrolled through my playlist and pressed on a song, slowly drifting away from everything. I hummed to the tune, nodding my head to the beat playing.

I felt like I had drifted to another world, three different sceneries. There was a path leading to all three of them.

One was a beach with the finest looking sand and crystal clear water.

Another was an forest, beautiful trees towering over the homes of small animals.

The last one was a meadow, flowers of all colors blooming with bees and butterflies fluttering around gracefully.

I gazed at all the sceneries, observing every little thing about them.

I walked up to the meadow and where the flowers and grass began, I walked into an invisible wall.

"What the..." I lifted my arm to see if it would go through, but the forcefield stopped it. I tapped the forcefield with my finger, and it was more like a glass dome sectioning it off from me.
