"Sometimes I dream of long, long ago" she explained.

"Things that happened in places far, far away."

She stopped short. "So at least it feels like that. So distant and unreal" she tried to explain herself.

"But it can't have been that long ago. I think."

He looked at her and waited for her to continue.

"Some dreams are bad. They're the ones with the two suns. Then I hear the hiss of whips and can barely stand up from hunger. Then there are the dark, cold dreams. There I am alone. All alone. And I can't even 'see' things with my weird sense. There's this voice telling me to give up. And I want to listen to it because I'm so incredibly tired and exhausted. But something is pulsing inside of me, like a little compact star, and it won't let me. And there are the confusing dreams. There's this one person I can never quite see. He always says he's kind. Wants to help me. But something inside of me screams that she's lying. Telling me to run. Begging me to run."

Ahsoka stopped short, her blind eyes fixed on the horizon.

Luca beside her was quiet as a mouse. It all sounded so bad. How could she possibly find something like that reassuring.

"But sometimes there are the good dreams. And I always look forward to those. They help me get back up. One is very strange. I don't see anything, in any way. But the darkness is not oppressive but reassuring. It protects me. I hear the sound of water. And it is pleasantly warm. It's like being in a little bubble of safety that shields you from all the evil of this galaxy. That keeps you protected and safe."

She stopped again. She loved these dreams. Such security, she could only dream of.

"And the others are different. They are joyful. And serious. There are so many faces, but most of them look almost the same. We laugh a lot together. And look out for each other. And wrestle or play pranks. But sometimes we fight too. I think. So there are these metal creatures that the others always call clankers and they shoot at us sometimes. And we attack them when they shoot at us."

Luca stumbled. He had an idea what she was talking about.

"That sounds like the Clone Wars," he opined.

Ahsoka looked up.

"The what?"

"Mom and Dad talk about it sometimes. But I don't know much about it. They say the battle droids and the clones fight each other, and sometimes regular people get caught in the middle. When it comes to their planets. You probably got hurt doing something like that and then crashed here," he guessed.

Ahsoka thought about it. Yes, that could be.

"And the other dreams?"

"Honestly? Not a clue. But hey, we'll figure that out too." he said with a smile.

Seeing Ahsoka's saddened face, he decided he'd better distract her.

"You want to go berry picking?"
