Lou did not know what to do.
There was nothing she could do.
She already had her own 'bandage' tied around the thin arm of the now unconscious girl to stop the bleeding.
Nevertheless, the sand around the young Togruta was already coloured red. Then Lou suddenly heard footsteps.
Muffled by the sand.
She looked up and discovered a young man with a scar on his eye.
She recognized him.
It was Ahsoka's teacher.
The one she had missed so much.
Lou waved.
She waved like crazy.
The man turned his head and looked over.
Then he came over.
When he was around the stone and saw Ahsoka he immediately sat down in front of her.
"Snips!" he exuded relief and picked her up carefully.
"How long have you been here? What happened to her," he asked Lou.
She didn't answer, but silently pointed to Ahsoka's arm.
She did not want to talk.
She didn't know what made her want to talk to Ahsoka back then, because she usually only used her voice when she was alone.
Anakin carefully put the young Togruta down to look at the wound.
"Where did it come from?" he asked. Lou pointed to the knife lying on the ground and to Ahsoka.
"She did that herself?!" he asked in horror.
Lou shrugged helplessly. She didn't really know what had happened to the teenager.
Then Anakin spotted the pad lying on the floor, covered in blood.
He picked it up and switched it on.
It flashed and the file that he had deactivated the chip flashed. Lou saw it too, she couldn't read but every slave knew how such files looked like.
And she recognized that the chip had been deactivated some time ago.
She just didn't understand the context of it.
And she did not know how to convince the Jedi to tell her.
Without words.
And she did not want to talk.
She couldn't.
Only with Ahsoka did she dare.
Then she had an idea.
She pulled out the bread and showed it to Anakin.
He was confused.
Why did she show him...?
Then it hit him like a lightning. Ahsoka's memory anchor had been a bread. And that woman knew about it. And she had recognized it, so she must have met Ahsoka before she was memory wiped.
"They changed her memories," he explained, and immediately saw shock flashing in her turquoise eyes.
"Do you know what else they did to her?" Lou nodded and pointed to Ahsoka's eyes.
Anakin looked at her confused, to make it clear, Lou put her hand on Anakin's eyes so he couldn't see anything anymore.
"They have blinded her?!" the Jedi asked, while rage and horror soaked his voice.
Lou took a finger away so that he could see something. Anakin needed a while until he understood the gesture.
"So mot completely?"
