"A Togruta then. Well, those are rare. You are lucky. We have two here. I'll show them to you," said the 'businessman' who was supposed to 'help' Anakin.

"Thanks" Anakin said and pretended to wait patiently while the man went to get the two.

Of course he was everything else but patient.

After all, this was about Ahsoka.

His little snips.
His sister, his padawan.

He would not abandon her for anything in the galaxy.

Never.

And yet, all the time, this image shot up in his head.

Seeing her so will-less in the corridor, he didn't know how to deal with it.

The man came back. Two people followed him.

Ahsoka and a five-year-old Togruta, who was carried on the arm by her.

When Anakin looked into Ahsoka's eyes, there was nothing but emptiness.

She did not recognize him.

Not even a little.

That broke Anakin's heart.

She at least had to feel who he was.

After all, the Force could not be robbed of her.

Or could they?

He had heard that Jedi who lost their will were sometimes so broken that they blocked their own access to the Force.

But not Ahsoka.

She was too strong for that.

Too stubborn.

Too snippy.

Besides, she couldn't have been so broken that something like this could have happened.

Otherwise Anakin would not feel her desire to protect the child and others.

He only had to get her out of here.

And first keep up appearances.

So he pretended to look at the two.

He had pretended to be a collector.

And that a Togruta was missing from his collection.

So he had a reason to buy it, even if she was no longer in condition for working.

Such thoughts almost made him throw up, so he concentrated on seeing if one of the wounds on Lekku Ahsoka could be dangerous.

But he didn't know enough to say this.

"The older one," he said after a few minutes to the man.

He nodded. "The price for her is not yet clear. But it will probably be very high. She is almost completely will-less and also very resistant. She can go by the half of the normal ration."

That almost made Anakin cry.

He knew how small already a whole portion was.

But you could see from her thin body that she was probably quite hungry.

"I want to know the price as soon as possible. I am under time pressure" Anakin said.

"And make sure that she gets something reasonable to eat in the time. Such a thin thing is not usable" he added.

He needed the greatest effort to talk about the young Togruta in such a stupid way, but if she got something to eat in return, then it was worth it.

The man nodded and left the room together with Ahsoka and the little one without another word, leaving Anakin alone with his worries.
