She had not slept well on the sofa.

The night had not allowed her any rest, but bombarded her with dream after dream.

Her head was pounding when she woke up, stuffed with information she couldn't process.

Single words, sentences, faces, situations, but none of it made sense.

She sat down and rubbed her aching head.

Her back protested as well. She hadn't thought to bring Osane's herbal paste from the farm, which now made the remaining few wounds on her back quite noticeable.

She moved her back slightly, only to realize they were stuck to the bandage.

Carefully, Ahsoka peeled herself out of the dress and began to pull the white fabric from the wound.

It hurt, but she knew it had to be done.

When she heard Aech's footsteps, she quickly pulled the blanket in front of her body, but there was no time to drape it around her back.

Aech stood yawning in the doorway. Then he spotted the Togruta's cut back.

To Ahsoka's relief, he said nothing about the bloody cuts.

There were still five left that had not healed.

Aech went to a cabinet and fished something out.

Silently, he sat down behind the girl and began putting Bacta on her wounds.

Ahsoka exhaled in relief as the cool salve touched her back.

It seemed to pull the pain out of her back and did so good....

"Here" Aech said and pressed a bandage roll into her hand when he was done.

Then he went into the kitchen.

Ahsoka carefully placed the fresh bandage around her torso and slipped back into the woolen dress.

Her back felt much better. Much much better.

Carefully, she folded the blanket back up and laid it on the sofa before following Aech into the kitchen.

The latter was just putting two plates of nutritive concentrates on the table.

"Eat something. We should get going right away" Ahsoka grabbed the plate and grabbed the concentrates.

They didn't taste like anything, but they made her stomach feel better. So Ahsoka ate them.

She was nowhere near as thin as she had been at first.

Her ribs no longer stuck out, and you couldn't feel the bone on her arms. But still, time had not been enough to make all the signs of hunger disappear.

She was very sure that Aech had already noticed her.

"What are we doing today?" she asked.

"There should be a shipment of holotransmitters arriving any minute now, and we need to fix them. Ever tinkered with a holotransmitter before?"

Ahsoka nodded. She didn't know when. She didn't know how. But she knew what. She knew the structure of a holotransmitter off the top of her head, knew where they usually broke, how to fix them.

She knew enough.

The last cube of nutrient concentrate landed in her mouth and she cleared the plate away.

Aech finished as well, cleaned up, and together they headed downstairs.

Off to work.
