I should be sleeping. It's like in the middle if the night over here, I have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow, because I forgot to do a project, which is due in four days, so I really should be getting some sleep. But I also really needed to get my head clear, so here comes a chapter anyway.

He had had to be careful not to touch the poisonous thorns. But now he was already on his way to the med-station with the precious seeds in his hand.

His fighter was parked crosswise in the hangar. But he would be able to park it properly later.

He rushed through the door of the med-station.

Kix immediately took the seeds from his hands and disappeared into a side room.

Ahsoka sat at Lou's side. She held her friend's hand tightly, and had tears in her eyes.

Anakin sat with her and stroked her shoulder.

But Ahsoka flinched back.

All the confidence she had built up, thanks to Lou's encouragements, all that was blown away.

It almost brought tears to Anakin's eyes too.

Since when had his little Snips become so fragile, so fearful and reserved, so shy.

No, that was not quite true. With Lou it had been different. With Lou she had still been the old one, at least somewhat.

What had he missed?! What had Lou done that he hadn't?

What could he do to gain the trust of one of the most important people in his life. His student, his daughter, his little soka.

Why had she been taken from him?

Why had they made her suffer so much, tried to break her will?

And had they been able to do that?

Anakin's thoughts were interrupted when Kix returned.

He had an injection in his hand, which he now carefully injected into Lou's bloodstream. Ahsoka let him do it.

Then he took a few steps back, pulling Anakin with him.

Ahsoka held her friend's hand while the latter's heart rate and breathing slowly improved.

The medicine really worked wonders.

Lou even stirred slightly, and her eyelids began to flutter.

Ahsokas rubbed her tear-stained eyes, and her vision became sharp. Apparently, her eyesight was kind to her at the moment.

Then Lou opened her eyes fully.

An exhausted, still bloody, cough sounded, and she looked to the young Togruta with a glazed expression.

"Ah...soka," she breathed, her voice still rough.

"Lou" returned the addressed one, squeezing her sister's hand even tighter.

"Pro...promise me something..."

"What?"

Lou took a quick breath, which sounded more like a gasp.

"B...become yourself again. The... G...girl I knew, and that n...never wanted to give up.... t...the Jedi who wanted to protect...everyone... But please still take care of yourself...and trust the p...people here."

Ahsoka just looked at Lou, aghast. What was this becoming now?

"P...promise me"

Lou asked exhaustedly. She was still so pale....

"I...I promise" Ahsoka replied. "I promise you"

"One more... thing"

"What?"

The young Togruta was getting more and more confused. Why was Lou suddenly in such a different mood. What was going on? Wasn't she feeling better again? That's what the equipment said...right? And why was she talking? She was never talking when someone apart the two of them was in the room.

"Please don't forget me."

"Of course not. But why would that even happen?" the child now wanted to know.

But then Lou's eyes closed. And a long drawn out beeping sounded.
