Nellie's POV
I sit next to Robbie as Elizabeth finally tells me who my birth mother is.

"S-so, you didn't want me?" I cry, Robbie holds me and rubs my back. "No! Sweetie, I did want you. I didn't know this was gonna happen, and I wanted you to have better opportunities. I love you so much sweetie and now I can care for you better than I would have earlier. We both want you so much more than we could ever want anything. That's why we are adopting you, because we love you. I'm just sorry about not being able to be with you till now. I'll make it up to you somehow though. I promise." I look at Lizzie who has a face stained with tears.

"Did you l-love me?" I asked her. "Yes- Hell yes I did. I sometimes got nightmares about something bad happening to you. I think about you all the time sweetie, even more now that you're back in my life. Please, don't hate me." Elizabeth pulls a strand of my hair out of my face and lays it behind my ear.

"Y-you know I love you m-mom, it's just gonna take a little to get used to it. you know? I don't hate you though. I understand you had to do what you had to do. Now, what happened to my dad?"

"He walked out on me when he heard the news. Moved away, switched schools. I never heard what happened to him. Just know, Robbie and I will love you even more than he could."

I cuddle in between Robbie and Lizzie and lay down.

"Can we snuggle and I sleep here for the rest of the night? I feel tired." They nod and cuddle me.

I knew I needed to forgive Elizabeth, but it was going to take me a little while to do so.

The next morning, I got up and ready before Elizabeth or Robbie did. I then went into the room where Kat was.

"Hey Nellie, how did you sleep?" Kat asked as I pulled up a chair next to her. "Okay. Lizzie told me the truth and now I don't know how to feel."

"Lizzie was in a tough spot Nellie, she did what she had to for you. Honestly, I would have done the same thing in her situation. Now you are here, though and Lizzie is able to start a relationship with you. We all know relationships take time to build but it will benefit both of you. Just trust the process and be there for Lizzie. It took so much of her to tell you Nellie, she thought you would never want to see her again. So, just be patient with Lizzie okay?" I nodded and accepted the bowl of cereal that she passed my way.

"Thanks Kat. I'll try my best." She nodded. "Now, does Darcy come back in Multiverse? I need to know desperately." She laughs. "Snitches end up in ditches kid."

I put my hand down on the table. "That means you're not denying it as you're not saying no." She laughs. "I didn't film anything for it, so, if Darcy is in it, it's not me. You know who is in it though, Wanda!"

I turn around and see Lizzie behind me. She laughs and has a sad expression on her face.

"Mom, about last night. I'm sorry-" "No. Nellie, it's fine I understand you need some time."

We eat breakfast in silence and before we know it we are leaving Kat's.

This time, Elizabeth is sitting up front with Robbie and I'm sitting in the back by myself. I spend the morning portion of the drive with my headphones in, listening to music. I read, text my friends and sleep.

I wake up to Robbie at 1:00 saying that we are having lunch. He brings us our lunch and I eat it.

For some reason, Lizzie gets out of the car and goes into a Comic Shop while Robbie and I wait.

"Hey Nellie, I know you haven't been talking to her. I know what happened but you need to talk to your mom. She's trying her best to get you to love her."

"I know, I love her but I just feel like there's something between us." "She loves you Nellie. Be nice to her. Talk about something, okay? Otherwise, we will have a silent car ride for the rest of the week."
