Nellie's POV
I woke up the next morning to a tray of French toast, bacon and orange juice sitting at the edge of my bed. I smiled, as surprisingly I was very hungry after just waking up, but I had no clue who ordered it for me. I looked over to see Shayla still asleep in the other bed, so, I knew it wasn't her.

I slipped out of bed carefully and picked up my phone on the bedside table to see a text from dad.

Dad (Milo Man): Hey, your mom is still sleeping in, so, I just got some breakfast for all of our rooms. Be ready by 11.

I then replied to him.

Me: Sounds good, thanks dad.

I put my phone back down and went to go take a shower. I let the lukewarm water caress my tired body before finishing my shower and drying off. I changed into a cozy sweater and some jeans, knowing that today would be mostly a travel day, then I went to eat my breakfast.

When I sat down at the table in our room to eat, I looked behind me to see Shayla had gotten up.

"Morning sleepyhead." I said, smiling. Shayla smiled back at me before joining me at the table.

"Morning. Did you order this?" She asked, looking up at me. I shook my head. "No. My dad did. He said to be ready to go by 11." She nodded.

"Okay. It's 9:40 now, so, we should be good." Shayla said. I agreed and we started eating breakfast.

Shayla and I ate together and talked about what was going on in our life's and at school.

When we finished, Shayla got ready and we packed our suitcases. As soon as we get downstairs, I said goodbye to Shayla who was going back with her family to her house and I took my things to the car.

Lizzie and Robbie said goodbye to Shayla's family and we got on the road up to my hometown.

"So Nellie, I rented out a practice space with a piano for us to practice the song you will be singing at the funeral." Dad tells me. I nod before putting my headphones in.

"Thanks dad." He nodded at my response and I listened to the new Bo Burnham album as we traveled.

Once we got there, Lizzie and Robbie went to check in while I sat in the car, looking around at the place I used to live.

I couldn't believe I was in my hometown again.
