Nellie's POV
I sit there in shock, looking directly into Mary-Kate's eyes. "It's you-that's weird." I say. She laughs lightly."Yes. It's me Nellie." She hugs me and I look at her in awe. "I-I'm sorry. I just grew up watching you and your sister and I-" "Nellie, it's okay." I nod and just sit there looking at her for a minute.
"So, do you wanna tell me about you? I only know what Elizabeth has said about you. I want to learn about who you are." Mary-Kate smiles at me and I start. "Well, I'm 16. My all-time favorite tv shows are Full House and Dancing With The Stars. My favorite actress is your younger sister. I love Marvel, Disney, Theme Parks, Broadway, Writing, Reading, and music. I'm a Junior right now and I really want to get into Stanford. I also really love WandaVision. So, yeah." She nods.
"You like writing, right? Have you written anything?" I nod. "I wrote a novel last year for National Novel Writing Month, I haven't published it yet, but I'd like to." She smiles at me, looking me in the eyes. "Well, my sister and I have published before, I'm sure if you'd want to get published, I could help you." "R-really?" She nods.
"Since you like broadway too, you should come back in September. Broadway is coming back, and I know Lizzie loves it too, you guys should come see a show with Ashley and I." "I'd love to. I've never seen a show actually on Broadway before."
"Could I ask you some questions? I've always wondered about these and where better to get the answers from the source." "Go ahead. I'm all ears." Mary-Kate says.
"Okay. What happened to that guy who played Michelle's friend Derek? He was a legend and has broadway quality potential." She laughed. "I have not heard from him in years. I think he's doing movies, I don't know about broadway though."
"How do you and Ashley decide who gets what of your childhood things? Like, you guys have so many things that you have both been in, do you have two of everything? Is it divided between you two?" She looks surprised about my question, but responds almost immediately. "We've just always divided it, I guess. We've lived together for a while so it's not that big of a deal, as we have both of our things together, but we don't exactly have a 'who gets what' situation, you know?" I nod.
"Lastly, what did you and Ashley think about the 80's and 90's episodes of WandaVision?" She laughed lightly. "Elizabeth is an incredible actress. She did absolutely incredible and it was kind of funny seeing her act in the way we used to." I smiled and thanked her for answering my questions.
"Hey sis, can I talk to her?" Ashley asked, coming in the room. "Yeah. Go right ahead." Mary-Kate got up and left the room, while Ashley came over and sat right next to me.
Ashley's POV
Lizzie stands behind the door and watches as I go to talk to Nellie.
"Hey Nellie, is it okay if I talk to you?" I ask carefully, looking at the young girl, staring it me as if I was the most interesting person to her at the moment. "Yes. Of course Michelle-I mean Ashley." I laugh lightly and I begin.
"I was talking with Elizabeth, and I was just wondering, what do you think about your birth mom sweetie?" "My birth mom?" She looks me square in the face. I nod. "For one, I hate her. She didn't want me and I've had to live with that fact for sixteen years, not even knowing her name. Besides, I'd never wanna be with her. I wanna stay here with Lizzie. Elizabeth cares. You guys care. Robbie cares. That's what I want."
That's ironic.
"So you wanna stay with Lizzie?" She nods. "She makes me feel calm and safe. You guys do too. I may have been a little nervous to meet you guys, but you've made me feel so at home and I'm grateful for you guys."
I smile a little at her response, but I'm worried about Elizabeth's feelings. She definitely heard what Nellie said about hating her birth mom. Even though Nellie loves Lizzie, that feeling may be changed when she finds out the truth.
"Okay thanks Nellie." I hug her and go back to Lizzie. When I walk out of the room, I see Mary-Kate comforting a crying Lizzie.
"Lizzie, she didn't mean that, I promise." I say, coming over to console my younger sister. "Oh she did."
