Elizabeth's POV
I look back to see that the girl is asleep in the backseat and I smile. She looked so happy and calm in her sleep. However, I felt something was different about this girl that drew me to her and her happiness. I didn't know why, I've met many marvel fans, specifically Wanda fans, in the past. This fan just felt very special to me. Maybe, it was the fact that this girl was adopted and was the same age that the girl I gave up for adoption would be now. Maybe I felt like I needed to give this girl what I couldn't have given my actual daughter."Aww look Robbie, she looks so adorable." I say, smiling. I pull into the parking garage at the hotel and look back to make sure she's still okay.
"Yeah she is Lizzie." He smiles at me and I park the car. I try to wait a minute to see if she'll wake up on her own before I speak.
"Sweetie. Wake up, we're here." I say, looking her in the eyes. She opens her eyes and I can see that they are the same emerald green that mine are.
Robbie and I help the girl with her things and go up to the room. While Robbie messages his band mates, I help her unpack and let her go get a shower.
While she's in the shower, I see her phone get a notification. I look to see that it's from her friend Shayla that I had met earlier.
s._h._a._y._l._a: Good night Nellie!I tapped on the notification and her password screen came up. I didn't know what it could be so I just tried my birthday. I entered 02-16-89 and surprisingly, it worked.
'Wow, that's some Ingrid shit.' I thought to myself. When it unlocked, it went to her Instagram and I saw the pictures that she had posted from today. Some with Robbie and I, some with her friends, some in West View that I couldn't even believe. I notice that her name sounds familiar to me and that she looks familiar, but I don't know where I know her from. I know she's a fan, but I don't think I've met her before. Until I thought pops up in my head.
"Thank you Elizabeth." Nellie said, walking out of the bathroom in her nightgown. "Of course Nellie." I said, forgetting that she didn't know that I knew her name. I sat down on the bed and put my head in my hands.
"Lizzie, how did you know my name?" Nellie asks me. "Oh-I saw your luggage tag." I motioned to the tag on her rose gold suitcase and she nodded. "Okay." I smiled at the young girl as she came and sat down next to me.
"Nellie, you said you're from Florida right?" I ask her. "Yea, but I'm originally from Ohio. We moved to Florida when I was 9." That's when it hit me. I knew where I knew this girl from! The name, the locations, the being adopted part. It all added up.
She was my daughter.
"Hey are you okay?" Nellie asked me, taking me out of my daze. "Yea. I'm just tired." I forced a yawn and stretched. "Oh okay. I thought I upset you." I shake my head getting her to know she didn't do anything, not wanting her to think she upset me. "No, I'm not upset sweetie. Wanda's just a little tired."
She nodded and went to bed. "Night Robbie. Night Elizabeth." She told us. "Night." Robbie and I said in unison.
"Lizzie, is everything okay?" Robbie said, pushing my hair out of my face as I got into bed. "I'm fine." I said. He kissed the top of my head and turned over and fell asleep. I knew I'd be up all night and that at some point I'd have to tell him that the girl staying with us was actually my daughter that he didn't know I had.
