Elizabeth's POV
While eating dinner, I look over to see Nellie whose face is turning white.
"Nellie? Are you okay?" I ask her, concerned.
"Yea. I just have a stomach ache, I'm going to go take a nap. Okay?" I nod. "Okay sweetie. Feel better. Come get me if you need anything, okay?" "Okay. Love you mom, love you dad."
I kiss Nellie on the top of her head and she leaves the room. When she leaves, I take the plates to the sink and sit back down with Robbie.
"Is everything alright Lizzie?" He asks me, seeing that I was visibly worried. "I don't know, I'm worried about Nellie." Robbie puts his arm around me and looks into my eyes. "Lizzie, just let her take a nap and she should be back to normal." I nod. "I hope you're right Robbie."
While Nellie rests, Robbie and I go into the living room to watch a dodgers game.
"Look Lizzie, it's our girl Mary Hart again!" Robbie exclaims in the middle of the game. "I can't with you sometimes Robbie." I laugh out. "Yeah, but you know you love me Lizzie." I rolled my eyes and leaned into Robbie's chest.
After the game finishes, I take a lukewarm shower and get ready for bed. Then, I lay down in bed and cuddle up next to Robbie.
"Good night Lizzie." He tells me, stroking his hands through my brown hair. "Good night Robbie."
For five minutes, I lay there, trying to fall asleep. I was tired and I never thought I would be able to sleep.
Finally, as I had found sleep, the door to my room opened. I tried to keep my mind off it, thinking that it was just the wind or just Robbie. However, a second later when I hear a voice, I can't sleep anymore.
"Ms. Maximoff, I don't feel too good." I hear Nellie say. I jump up and go over to her. "Sweetie, are you okay?" I take her to her room, so, we don't disturb Robbie and I sit down with her.
"I woke up and every time I tried going back to sleep, I felt nauseous and I didn't know what to do, so, I just came to you. I don't know what it is though, I got both of my doses of the vaccine weeks ago, so, I don't think it's that. I'm just really sick to my stomach right now." I nod.
"Okay, Nellie, I'm going to go get the thermometer and then we will go from there." I say. I turn on Disney Plus for Nellie to pick something to watch and then I go and get the thermometer.
When I come back in the room, I see Nellie cuddled up with pillows and watching Episode 1 of WandaVision.
"Good to know that even when your sick you're still a fan of me." I hear Nellie let out a small laugh. I take her temperature and frown.
"Well, the good news is that it's not over 100, the bad news is that it's 99. So, I'm going to keep monitoring it baby, but it should hopefully break." I go and get Nellie some crackers, water and meds.
I stay with her after she takes it, to make sure she is okay. Then, I end up falling asleep.
Being a mom sure is hard work.
