I'd spent most of the afternoon alongside my cousins cleaning up the 6 cabins that were built on the property. My nose was completely stuffed and I kept sneezing. I don't even want to talk about how puffy my eyes are.

"How is it you're twins and only one of you has allergies?" Kai teasingly asks as he enters the cabin Maya and I were currently cleaning.

"Fuck off" I mutter. Then sneeze.

Kai chuckles and walks towards me and takes the broom from my hands. "I'll finish up here. Go take a Benadryl before your face explodes."

I roll my eyes at him and say thank you before leaving the cabin. The walk back would be long so I decide to shift into my wolf form and run back. As I remove my T-shirt I hear a cat call whistle behind me.

I quickly cover my chest with my T-shirt and flip around. My eyes meet the blue ones of Daniel. Wait what the fuck is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?" I screech as I cling to my shirt tightly and look all around him and make sure Kai or Maya didn't come out of the house.

Daniel smirks and starts walking towards me.

"Just enjoying the view" He shrugs. He stops when he's about a foot away.

"Can you turn around please?" I say in an irritated tone.

"Oh come on." He whines.

"Dude!"

"Okay!" He yells and turns the opposite direction.

I quickly throw my shirt back on and shove his back instead of telling him he can turn around.

"Hey what was that for!" He says catching himself before he tumbles forward.

"You ignore me for a whole day and think you can just show up here and flirt with me like it didn't happen?" I yell.

Daniel sighs and smooths down his shirt. "I know. I'm sorry. I should've at least texted."

"Yeah you should have! I was worried" I state as I cross my arms over my chest.

"I just needed some time to myself. This isn't easy for me either Angie"

"Okay so ignoring me helps when you're frustrated?" I deadpan.

Daniel sighs and runs his hands through his messy hair.

"No. That's why I'm here. I knew texting or calling wasn't going to make up for it."

"Well showing up isn't going to help either. My family will wonder what you're doing here alone."

"I already talked to them. I told them I just wanted to come and help."

"And they believed that."

"Tyler didn't seem to" he chuckles. "I guess he knows?"

I sigh and nod my head.

"Danny?"

Both our heads turn to the voice behind Daniel. Maya stands only a few feet away with a confused expression.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to help with set up" he says with an awkward smile.

"Why?" She says as her eyes dart from mine to his.

"Well I'm new to the pack. I didn't make a very good impression from the start so I thought helping out might smooth things a little..." he says turning to me and giving me a soft smile.

Maya doesn't fail to notice this.

"Well in that case." Maya grabs the rag she had hanging from her back pocket and tosses it at him. "You can finish up inside with Kai. Let's go get you some Benadryl sis." Maya says walking passed him and looping her arm with mine and tugging me away.
