Maya sat fidgeting on the stool in front of me as I lightly brushed over her eyelids with the soft brown tones. Every now and then her eyes would squint at the feeling of the brush. Usually she's not this unsettled. My sister was always cool and confident but today she was a nervous wreck.

"Why are you so nervous?" I chuckle when she shakes her shoulders as if she got a chill.

"Ugh! Because he's a total dream and I just hope he's my mate. You should see the way he looks at me Angie. It makes me feel so beautiful."

I small smile comes to my lips watching my sister gush about this guy.

She met him about a week ago at a pack meeting. This one was more kid friendly so a lot of the pack members brought their kids. Apparently he had just moved here from Colorado, and was a "total dream" as Maya said.

"I just think there's no way he couldn't be my mate." She gushes.

"Well I guess we'll see at our party next month." I chuckle.

Maya opens her eyes right as I was about to start her eyeliner.

I flinch and suck in a breath. "Dude I almost poked your fucking eye out." I mutter and she giggles but maintains eye contact.

"I hope we both find our mates." She says excitedly.

"He's already 18 right?" I ask as she closes her eyes again for me to continue.

"Yep!" She says popping the p while doing her best to sit still. "19 to be exact." She adds with a smile.

"Alright I'm doing the wings. Don't move" I say as I rest my hand on her shoulder to keep the both of us steady.

I had just flicked the wing with the felt tip liner when the bathroom door bursts open.

Maya and I let out a loud shriek and turn our bodies towards the intruder which happens to be our idiotic older brother Kai.

"You asswipe she could've messed up my make up!" Maya yells as she grabs the nearest thing to her, which happens to be the toilet paper roll, and chucks it as his face as he's doubled over laughing.

"That's what you're concerned about? You've almost lost an eye twice now." I mutter.

"Why are you getting all dolled up huh?" Kai asks accusingly as he leans against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest.

"I have a date tonight." Maya says confidently as she stands from the stool and flips her long wavy hair over her shoulder.

"Uh. What the fuck. With who?" Kai asks with a low angry tone.

"Nunya" Maya remarks and turns to the mirror, her eyes widening and her jaw falling at the sight.

"Angie I look hot!" She screeches and turns to face me and wraps her slim arms around my neck and pulling me into a tight embrace.

"Ahh okay let me go before I choke to death." I say awkwardly patting her back.

"Oh hell no. Where's mom?" Kai asks walking out of the bathroom and calling all over the house for our mom.

"Why are you yelling!" I hear the chuckling voice of Lilith, Kai's mate and wife, from the hall.

"Lilith come look at my hot face!" Maya screams from the bathroom.

"Stop calling yourself hot Maya!" Kai yells.

Lilith's beaming face rounds the corner and appears at the door.

"Maya you look gorgeous!" She gushes as she walks in and hugs us both.

"Where are you off to?" She asks once her and I pull away.
