Daniel was packing to leave tomorrow morning. After we talked with Tyler and Tara, it was decided that Daniel and Toby would be heading out early in order to make it there at a reasonable hour, and he'd ride back with Kai on Monday.

I wasn't exactly thrilled about him leaving, but after we talked I was trying to be okay with it. He'd suggested I spend more time with Maya, that he'd been hogging all my attention, in which I responded that her and Jason would be 3rd wheeling the fuck out of me.

Thankfully Leah would be staying, but Lilith has been talking to her about the possibility of going and visiting her dad soon now that he was doing slightly better.

I was laying on Daniels bed as he was pulling clothes out of his dresser, when someone knocked on the door.

"Are y'all decent?" Leah's voice calls out.

I snort a laugh, and Daniel walks to open the door.

"Oh good." Leah sighs. "Can I come in?"

Daniel nods and moves to open the door wider for her to step in.

"Your sister and Jason are making everyone uncomfortable in the living room." She mutters and plops herself on the chair in the corner of the room.

I giggle and roll my eyes, Daniel doing the same.

"They have been all over each other." I shrug. "Makes sense."

"Not to me! Like fuck, take a breath of your own air." Leah whines. Daniel and I both laugh, but agree with her.

"So when are you going back to see your dad?" I ask.

Leah shrugs. "I think when Kai and Daniel get back here. Lilith and Kai are gonna fly with me to Colorado, sooo have fun babysitting their devil spawn"

"Fuuuuck" I groan jokingly.

Daniel and Leah both laugh at me, and we all fall into a comfortable silence. The three of us stayed up late, Jason and Maya both finally came up for air and joined us as we decided to sit outside and enjoy the night together.

I was definitely enjoying the company, I knew for sure after spending so much time with Leah I was going to miss her when she moved back home with her dad. I think Maya and Daniel felt the same.

Once everyone has gone to hair respective rooms, Daniel and I stayed up a little later. I felt bad, I knew he was going to have to wake up in a few hours, but I couldn't sleep. I wanted every second with him that I could have. As we laid in bed, Daniel opened up to me a bit more about his past. I knew the gist of it, I knew what lead him to this point, but he talked more about his life with Seth.

I was surprised to hear Daniel say they never actually told each other they loved each other. Apparently Seth was very awkward that way, but Daniel knew he cared for him in other ways. Like helping him finish school when he was so behind, teaching him how to drive, taking on the legal role of a parent without making it seem like he was trying to replace Daniel's dad. Not that Daniel would've minded.

Personally, I was grateful for Seth. Although Daniel had gone through hell, he still found someone to care for him after years of abuse. I was excited to meet him. According to Daniel he's a complete goofball.

"The guy can't stand serious conversations. It's like he gets bored so quickly" Daniel had said.

When I asked more about Seth, Daniel said he didn't know much besides he didn't have a mate, or any kids. Seth had always told him he was just a homebody and did nothing but teach the future fighters and go home at the end of the day.

"What are you thinking about?" Daniel's voice pulls me from my thoughts. I lift my head up to look at him and smile.

"Nothin"
