When I woke up the next morning I was tangled in Daniel's embrace. His head rested on my shoulder and his breath fanned across my neck sending shivers down my spine.

I peered over at him and took notice of his slight frown and creased eyebrows. His grip around me was a bit tight, and his breath was starting to pick up ever so slightly.

I could tell instantly he was having a nightmare. His fear was becoming more intense. Instead of waking him up I turned over on my side so our heads shared my pillow, and I raised my hand up to his face and stroke his cheek softly with my thumb.

He looked like he was in pain and my heart broke for him, but slowly his breathing began to slow and his face relaxed. I smile too myself once he appears to be completely at peace.

I look over his body at the clock on my nightstand and am surprised I'm even awake at this hour. I knew I needed to get up though, and so did Daniel. I wasn't sure how thrilled my parents would be if they came home and found Daniel naked in my bed.

I carefully remove his arms and legs from me without waking him up and get dressed. I still needed to grab our discarded clothes from downstairs.

After I clean up I go back to the kitchen to make Daniel and I something to eat. My family would be arriving probably sometime in the next 4 hours so we had plenty of time to eat and relax for a bit before he went home.

As I was cooking my thoughts lingered on last night. I smiled at the memory. I can't believe we marked each other. I think it's safe to say last night wasn't planned and it definitely escalated quickly, but I don't regret it for a moment.

I was almost done cooking a simple breakfast of eggs bacon and toast when I felt two arms snake their way around my waist. Daniel's chin rests on my shoulder and he presses a light kiss to my mark sending a wave of chills all throughout my body.

"Where did you go." He whines and snuggles his face into my neck. "I was comfortable"

I shut off the stove and turn to face him. I wrap my arms around his neck and peck his lips.

"I needed to clean up a bit, and I wanted to make breakfast."

Daniel peaks over my head at the food on the stove and smirks. "What if I wanted something else to eat?" He says with a wink.

It takes me a second to realize what he meant. When I do my jaw drops and I shove his chest so he stumbles away from me. His boastful laugh makes it hard for me to keep a straight face so I turn my back to him and start plating the food.

"I'm kidding I'm kidding!" He says grabbing me by my hips and flipping me around.

"Shoo you perv" I say waving the spatula I still had in my hand in his face.

He smiles at me and pecks my lips a few times until I'm smiling into our kisses. He pulls away and grabs a couple of water bottles for us while I finish putting our food on plates.

By the time we sit to eat it's only 7am. We sit in a comfortable silence while we eat, but I break the silence when I notice Daniel staring at me.

"What?"

Daniel smiles and clears his throat. "I want to take you out today"

"Out?"

He nods. "We haven't gone on a single date since we've found each other." He points out.

"Okay well, I'll have to ask my parents first. Not sure how comfortable they are with me having a boyfriend you know." I joke.

Daniel smiles and rolls his eyes at me. "Yeah okay." He remarks.

"So where are we going?" I ask as I go back to eating.

"Hmm. Haven't figured that part out yet, but be ready by 4."

"Well what am I supposed to wear?"

"Preferably nothing." He mutters.

I grab the nearest thing to me which happens to be a hand towel and smack him with it. He tries to block the blows but he's laughing so hard that I get plenty hits on him. "You're extra cheeky today aren't you?"

"Only because I finally have you all to myself." He says with a wink.

I can't help the blush that creeps up to my cheeks which makes Daniel incredibly happy. Although things weren't exactly good right now, it felt good to feel complete peace and happiness from him. It made me feel good to know he's truly happy with me.

"What?" He asks. Fuck. I've been staring.

"Nothing." I say and go back to eating. "Now hurry up and eat so you can leave before my parents come home."

Daniel laughs but nods his head.

The rest of breakfast goes on with more banter from Daniel, and when it's time for him to go I feel like I still hadn't spent enough time with him. I felt needy by how much I didn't want him to go even if I'd see him later this afternoon.

"Don't forget to tell me where we're going so I know what to wear." I call to him as he's halfway to his car.

"I will!" He calls back when he gets into his car. When he drives off I sigh in complete happiness. I wish things could stay this way. As the day went on without Daniel my thoughts wandered to the issue at hand.

I can't believe his own dad hurt him that way, and I can't believe what he's done just to get to him. I can tell sometimes that Daniel feels guilty for what happened to his mother and unborn sister, but it's not his fault. I hoped I could make him see that one day too.
