Angelique's POV
Jason, Maya, Daniel, Leah and I were on our way to Anna's 5th birthday party when Tyler called to tell us Lilith had gone into labor with the twins. God, I still couldn't believe she was pregnant with twins. And I can't believe she's going into labor on Anna's birthday.
Jason, who was driving, made a sharp u-turn at the nearest light so we could head in the opposite direction towards the hospital.
"This is fucking insane!" Maya screeches excitedly.
"Is everyone heading to the hospital?" Leah asks. "Shouldn't we wait?"
"Ty said everyone was going" I said excitedly.
We drove the 10 minutes to the hospital slightly above the speed limit, which put us there right as the rest of our family arrived.
We all said our hello's in the family waiting room, each of us a type of nervous that was also exciting.
"Can I ask you something?" Daniel asks nudging me.
The two of us sat a little further away from our family since there were other families here.
"Of course" I say.
"Do you- want a family?" He asks stuttering.
I smile, feeling his nervous anxiety about asking me this question. "I do. One day"
He smiles at my answer and pulls me into a long kiss.
We all sit in the waiting room for hours. At one point, the doctor came out to suggest we all go home because delivering the babies could take longer than expected. Of course we all refused.
After 9 hours, the doctor comes in with a smiling face and says Lilith delivered two healthy baby girls. Although it was late, we all exclaimed excitedly at the news.
Daniel and I shared a look, and I smiled at him and said "one day"
He pulled me into his chest and kissed the top of my head and whispered "one day."
