Surrender -Under Re-Write

"So when are we going to the hole?" Maya asks our cousin Toby eagerly.

When 5 o clock rolled around Alyssa released all of us. Every first year was dragging ass, including me. As fun as the hole sounded my bed sounded way more appealing.

"Probably around 9." He says popping another chip in his mouth.

"How the fuck are you still eating." His mate Jesse asks with a chuckle.

"Don't fat shame me!" He whines.

We were all currently sat scattered around the living room. Dinner finished up and now everyone was hanging out anywhere around the property which would include the hole in about an hour.

The hole was what my dad called a failed pond. Apparently one of the leaders some time ago wanted to build a artificial pond and quit midway. Now we have an unfinished hole in the ground where the younger members of the pack liked to party.

"Are you going?" Daniel asks from beside me.

"Probably not. I'm tired." I groan.

"Don't be a pussy!" My cousin Noah yells from the couch throwing a pillow at my direction. Thankfully I catch it before it hits me and I throw it back.

"Shut up Noah!" I yell.

"Don't pressure her Noah. You know how she is." Maya says rolling her eyes.

"Oh? How am I exactly?" I question with irritation in my voice.

"I'm out" Toby says and stands to his feet and walks out of the cabin with Jesse and the rest of my other cousins in tow. Now it was only Maya, Daniel and I left in the cabin. I'm sure Daniel would've left if I tried to, but I wanted to hear Maya's thoughts.

"Oh you know. Antisocial, prude, boring." She shrugs.

I didn't have any words left. She took them. I felt nothing but hurt at what she had said, and I wondered if she really meant them.

Instead of fighting back I got up without another word and walked out of the cabin. I didn't hear Daniel behind me which bothered me, but as I walked out and caught the eye of my mom I mustered up the biggest smile I could manage.

When I received a soft smile back from her I kept walking towards the other cabin. I'd probably just go hide myself in Daniels room until the night was over.

When I walked in I laid on the bed and shut my eyes. I could hear the muffled voices and laughter of everyone outside. It was sort of morbid. Our pack was under attack, we could be entering a potential war and yet at least half of the members of our pack are standing outside laughing and enjoying their time together.

"Just can't stay away can you?" I jump at the sudden voice.

I look over at the open door where Daniel stood with his arms across his chest as he leaned against the frame.

"I had nowhere else to hide." I mumble. "And you're the one who came in here after me so." I shrug and face back towards the ceiling.

Daniel chuckles, and I hear the sound of the door shutting and his footsteps coming closer.

"Move over" he says once he reaches the edge of the bed.

I scoot over to the other side of the bed still keeping my eyes trained above me. Truthfully after what Maya said I was a bit embarrassed. She called me boring and prude in front of my mate.
