"I love you."

You stupid fucking brain. Make words. Please. Literally anything. He's staring at me with so much hope and fear and anxiousness. His racing heart is clashing with mine and it's making this moment even more intense. It's just three words I've already thought before, why can't they just come out?

"Fuck I'm sorry." Daniel sighs and begins standing. "It was too soon I-"

"No Daniel wait."

"It's fine Angie." He says sounding slightly defeated.

"I love you too." I say in a quick breath.

His dark eyes meet mine, and if it wasn't for his racing heart I'd be embarrassed about mine.

"I don't want you to feel like you need to say it" he says.

"I'm not, Daniel. I mean can't you feel it too?" I say walking closer to him and nudging my head against his neck.

"I hadn't understood the emotion at first, and when I did I swear I was bursting to tell you but-" I take a deep breath. "I was afraid you didn't feel the same yet, or didn't understand the feeling yourself.
Or maybe you'd think it was too so-"

I'm cut off a the sight of Daniel shifting back to his human form.

"Daniel- what are you doing?" I exclaim and immediately turn my head to the side.

"Shift back." He says walking closer to me. Butt fucking naked...

"No! We're outside!"

"No one is here. Just shift back. I won't look." He pleads.

"Daniel." I sigh and look him in the eyes. Only the eyes...

"Please?" He says.

I sigh before shifting back. The warm summer breeze hits me instantly, but my body is quickly warmed by Daniel grabbing my face and pressing his lips to mine.

I hold his wrists in my hands as he keeps them on each side of my face. The sparks between us fly just like every time we kiss. The piece of my mind reminding me we were both standing in the middle of nowhere ass naked kissing like no tomorrow is what made me pull away.

"What was that about."

"I wanted- needed, to kiss you." He says breathlessly.

My heart swells in my chest at his words. His eyes darted between each of mine, and he leaned in and kissed me lightly again.

"I know we're still new to each other. We've got a lot to learn, but I know you, Angelique."

The use of my full name on his lips sent a shiver down my spine.

"I know you, and I love you." He says resting his forehead against mine.

"I love you too." I say as easy as breathing.

Daniel smiles and kisses me again. I could still feel the smile on his lips as they pressed to mine.

We stood there a second longer, him still holding my face and me still holding his wrists, before our reality settled back into my brain.

"Daniel."

"Hmm"

"We're naked. Outside."

His wide smile takes over his face, making his eyes squint.

"Oh I know." He chuckles. "Having a very hard time not taking you on the rocks right now." He almost growls.

I pull his hands away from my face and back away far enough from him to shift back. I still kept my eyes up as he too shifted back.
