Surrender -Under Re-Write

"The floor lava!" Anna yells.

The sound of clatter fills the living room as 5 young adults scramble to jump onto the nearest surface before the 3 second grace period ends, and the lava kills you.

"You out!" Anna yells at Daniel, who in fact was still trying to find somewhere to stand. Tyler and Tara took up the dining table, Maya was balancing on a chair, and I was on the kitchen counter.

"No fair!" Daniel whines playfully.

"You suck!" Anna points and yells at Daniel, who is trying not to laugh at the small child who just told him he sucks.

"Anna that's not nice." Tara says trying to mask a laugh.

"It's true!" She whines.

"But it's not nice!" Tara tries to say with a pointed look, but fails miserably.

"Then why you laughing?" Anna asks with her eyebrows raised in accusation.

Tara sighs and shakes her head. "When Anna goes around telling people they suck. I am going to make sure Kai and Lilith know it's your fault." Tara says pointing at Tyler.

"Hey! I didn't know she was gonna repeat it!"

"She's 4 dumbass! They repeat everything!" Maya whisper yells

"Ha! Dumbass!" Anna yells.

All 5 of us collectively yell Anna, and the demon child only giggles hysterically.

"Make sure they know that one was not me." Tyler says to Tara.

"Okay I think we need a new game." I offer. "How about hide and seek?" I say to Anna with a wide grin.

"I'll hide!" Anna yells and disappears into one of the spare rooms.

"Who's gonna tell her we all just saw where she's hiding..." Tyler says pointing towards the door with his thumb.

"Hurry up and find me!" Anna yells from the other room.

We all try not to laugh, but we fail at that too.

"Okay, y'all go find her, I'll start dinner." Tara says jumping down from the dining table, Maya following in suit from her chair.

"Can I help?" I ask.

"Sure." She smiles.

"Y'all suck!" I hear Anna yell from the bedroom.

"Tyler, go find your niece before she starts calling us all dumbasses for not finding her." Tara says pointing towards the bedroom.

"Ha! Dumbasses!" We hear Anna yell.

"Fuck sakes." Daniel mutters with a laugh.

Tyler and Maya both go into the bedroom to find the heathen, while Daniel, Tara and I start pulling things out to make dinner.

"One of us is going to have to go into town soon." Daniel sighs at the nearly empty fridge.

We've already been here a week. We're fucking bored, especially Anna. Hence why the 5 of us found ourselves playing ridiculous games to entertain her and us.

"Maybe if Tyler would STOP EATING SIX MEALS A DAY. We wouldn't have to." I say crossing my arms over my chest.

"I'm a growing boy!" I hear him yell from the other room.

Tara and I roll our eyes at him and go back to pulling things out to make spaghetti and meatballs.

"Anything I can help with?" Daniel offers and takes a seat at the kitchen island stool.
