I was ripped from sleep at the feeling of cold water drenching my entire body.

My brain couldn't process anything but attempting to catch the breath I had sucked in from being awoken so abruptly. Three other distressed voices cursed at the same time I did, which confused me till I took in my surroundings. I was outside, sitting beside Daniel. Maya and Leah to the left of him looking just as confused as I was.

It took us all only a second before we were jumping to our wobbly legs to run from the cold water that was drenching us.

The sound of loud cackling made me whip around once I was able to escape the water, and only a few feet away stood my older cousin Toby with a garden hose.

"What the fuck Tobias!" Mayas shrill voice yells.

"Shhhh. There are people still sleeping." He whispers exaggeratedly.

"Oh fuck off" Maya groans.

"What the fuck happened to you four?" He chuckles as he looks between us then down at the ground at something that must've caught his eye.

My breath catches in my throat when he bends down to pick up half of a bow soaked joint from the ground.

"Well that answers my question." He says holding it between two fingers.

"Look, Toby don't be upset with them it was me-" Daniel says, till Toby cuts him off with another cackle.

"Dude, it's fine." He says.

I was stunned he was ready to take the blow for it, I think Leah and Maya were too, but we were even more stunned at Toby's reaction.

"I get it. You're all young, young people experiment, in fact, I've got this story about Kai and I-"

"Why are y'all all wet?"

We all spin around at the shrill voice behind us. "Lilith stands behind us with Anna on her hip and a concerned expression.

"And what the fuck are you doing here?" She says.

"Mami said a bad word!" Anna yells.

Lilith closes her eyes and sighs. I hear Toby snort from behind us, and when I turn to him he has his hands behind his back, more than likely hiding the joint he had in his hand.

"I'm sorry baby." She coos. "Toby. What are you doing here?" She asks.

"Did Kai not text you?" He asks. His voice sounding less goofy than it did earlier.

Lilith shakes her head as she reaches into her pocket with her free hand. "No I just woke up I-" she stops when she reads the text.

"What the fuck?" She mutters.

"Mami!" Anna yells.

Lilith takes a deep breath and sighs. "I'm sorry. Mommas sorry baby, here why don't you go inside. Ask Tia Tara to give you a banana." She says setting Anna down.

"Okay but I'm telling daddy!" She says skipping off towards the cabin.

Lilith turns back to us, a worried look on her face.

"They found Seth." She says to us.

Daniels heart rate immediately picks up. Everyone turns their heads to him, but his body remains frozen.

"Who's Seth?" Leah asks carefully.

Daniel swallows and clears his throat but doesn't look directly at anyone when he responds.

"My old trainer. He- he saved me. From my dad." He adds.

I take Daniels hand in mine and squeeze it lightly.
"Where is he?" He asks Lilith.
