Veronica's POV

He took me to a restaurant that was fancier than he said it was. Although I wasn't surprised. It's JUghead he is always doing something like his for me. I don't know why. But he says he does it with love. I do believe him though.

At first, everything was okay but as we neared the end of the night he started to get nervous. I could tell because anytime he gets nervous about something his hands start shaking a little and all he can do is think. Specifically about what is making him nervous. I waited till we left to ask him what it was.

"Hey, Jug," I said.

"Hmm?"

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"No, nothing's wrong. Why do you ask?"

"Because you're nervous."

"What? No, I'm not."

"You are. Your hands are shaking and you've barely said a word unless I've spoken first." I smiled at him. He laughed and looked at me.

"You are a goddess woman," he said.

"I know. Now tell me what is making you so nervous." He just went back to focusing on the road and ignoring my question. "You son of a bitch," I mumbled.

We got back to the trailer. I looked at him.

"Are we not going to pick up the kids?" I asked.

"Well, I wanted to give you a break again for a little while. You do so much for all of us and you never get anything in return."

"I really don't need anything."

"Stay right here," He got out of the car and walked around. He opened the door for me. I got out.

"What are you up to?"

"Let's go inside," he said. We walked in and I sighed.

"I'm gonna go take a shower and changed," I told him.

"Wait, before you do that." I looked at him. He grabbed my hands. "I just want to tell you that I have always loved you with everything I have. If I could get you anything you want I would. I want to be able to give you the life you want. And I'm going to do my best to meet up with what you want." I could feel his hands shaking. "I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. So," he slowly got down on one knee and reached into his pocket. Tears threatened to fall out of my eyes. I tried to hold them back. "Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" I quickly said. He put the ring on my finger and stood up. I kissed him passionately. I slowly pulled away for air. "I love you, too, Jug." I kissed him again and he pushed me up against the wall. And we eventually made our way back to the bedroom.

The Next Morning

I woke up in Jughead's arms. I smiled as I remembered everything from last night. I looked at my left hand and smiled even more. I heard my phone buzzing. I groaned and answered it.

"Yes?"

"Woah! Somebody isn't very happy this morning."  Cheryl said. I sighed and sat up.

"Sorry. I just woke up,"

"Well, that sucks. Anyway, where the hell did you two go last night?" I walked out of the room so I wouldn't wake him.

"Well, he took me out to eat. And then..."

"And then what?" I stayed quiet as I thought about what to say.

"I'll tell you when I come to pick up the kids. Just let me get around." I said and ended the call.

I got in the shower and ready for the day. As I walked into the kitchen and saw Jughead standing there. He smiled when he saw me.

"Oh, you're here. I thought you ran away after last night." He said. I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, last time I ran away after a night with you we were drunk and I ended up pregnant at 16," I told him. He smiled.

"What are you doing today?"

"I'm getting ready to go pick up the kids from Cheryl's and Toni's."

"Do you want me to come?"

"No, it's okay," I said and left.

When I got there I just walked inside. Both Camila and Camdyn came running over to me. I smiled. Right behind them were Cheryl and Toni.

"You're here earlier than I thought you would be," Cheryl said.

"Yeah, I didn't want to leave these two with you any longer. Although, I do want to talk to you about something." I told them. We all walked over to the living room and sat down.

"What did you want to tell us?" Toni asked.

"Well, last night after Jughead and I got back from dinner he asked me something." I did my best to hide my left hand without making it suspicious.

"What did he ask?"

"He asked me to marry him," I told them. I could see both of their faces light up.

"Really? What did you say?" Cheryl asked.

That's when I showed them my hand.

"Yes, obviously." I kept smiling.

"Why do I feel like there is more?" Toni asks.

"I don't think you want to know what happened after that." I bit my lip a little.

"Ew. Gross." Cheryl said.

"Shut up. You can't  be talking." I told her. "Anyway, I better be going. I told him I'd be back as soon as possible."

We said our goodbyes and I left.
