10 Days Until The Wedding
Veronica's POV
I woke up in the arms of someone. I looked around the room I was in. Shit! I looked over and saw Jughead. He woke up. I got up and started getting my clothes. It was just quiet.
"So how do you want to play this out?" He asked quietly. I sighed and looked at him.
"Let's pretend like this never happened." I said and he got up.
"Okay." He said and started to walked to the door. "Also," I looked at him. "What never happened it was amazing." He said and walked out. I smiled and continued to get my stuff. As I was leaving I looked back at him.
"It was amazing, wasn't it? What never happened." I said. He looked at me with a smirk and I left. I went to Pop's and found Cheryl, Toni and Betty there. I went and sat with them.
"Hey, Veronica." Cheryl said.
"Hi, girls." I said.
"Oh hey, Veronica, where were you last night?" Betty asked I looked at her.
"What?" I asked.
"I went to go talk to you last night at around eight and you weren't there. Where were you?" She asked.
"I was just out places." I told her.
"Woah! Is that a hickey?" Toni asked. I looked at her. She was looking at my neck. I put my head to my neck.
"What?" I asked. She looked at me and smiled.
"So, did Xavier give that to you?" Cheryl asked. I looked at the two them to Betty. She looked a little worried now.
"Uhh, yeah. He did." I lied. The two girls just giggled a little, but Betty just stayed quiet. "Betty, you okay?" She looked at me.
"What?" She asked.
"Are you okay?" I asked again.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." She said.
After about half an hour, I decided to leave. I got back and Xavier was in the room getting around. He looked at me and sighed. He slowly walked over to me.
"Baby," he said and pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to get mad at you for it." He said. I looked at him.
"It's okay, Xavier. I shouldn't have argued back." I said.
"No, I don't want you thinking it's your fault. I was already having a bad day." He said. I smiled at him and nodded.
"Okay." I said quietly. If anyone should be saying sorry it should be me. I just woke up next to my ex. If I tell him he'll be heartbroken. But it never happened.
"Where were you last night?" He asked. I sighed quietly.
"I was with, uhh, Cheryl and Toni. Yup." I said. I hope he believes that.
"Oh well, your friend, Betty I think it was, came over wondering where you were." He said. I nodded.
"I know. I went to Pop's before I came back and the three girls were there." I told him.
"Three girls?" He asked.
"Cheryl, Toni and Betty." I told him.
"I thought you were already with Cheryl and Toni." He said. Fuck!
"I was. I just stayed behind a bit." I quickly lied. Damn!
"Oh. What, did you have to take three hours to get ready?" He asked. More like three seconds.
"Something like that, yeah." I said and he nodded. "I'm gonna go talk to Sophia and Maddie." I said and walked off. I found them both in Madelyn's room. Both on their phones. "Great relationship I see." I said and they both looked up at me.
"Hey." Sophia said.
"Hi." Madelyn said.
"Its really quiet in here." I said.
"Not much to do. Or talk about." Sohpia said.
"Oh, I understand that. There's really not much to do in this town." I told them. They both seemed like they knew something they probably shouldn't know.
"Yeah, how did you even live here?" Madelyn asked.
"Oh, trust me. It was a lot better and worse then than it was now." I told them.
"What does that mean?" Sophia asked.
"That's a long story. A story that's way to complicated, dramatic and chaotic." I said.
"We've met Cheryl. I think we know what dramatic, complicated and chaotic is." Sohpia said and I laughed.
"I friends with her for like three and a half years. I would know." I said. We started talking and all I could think about was Jughead. I can remember everything from last night. It was amazing. It shouldn't have happened, but at the time it felt right. Thinking about it now, it still feels right. Just being with him in the very moment just felt right. But it's what never happened. And it was wrong. But that's what made it feel so right. Just how wrong it was.
