16 days till the wedding
Veronica's POV

I hungout with all my friends and Jughead wasn't there at all. It's almost seven-thirty and I'm about to leave to meet Jughead at Pop's.

"Who are you getting ready to meet?" Aaron asks me. I look at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You just seem like you're getting ready to go out for something." He said. I shook my head.

"It's nothing. Just another friend. I did have a life here you know." I told him.

"Okay. Who is it?" He asked. I looked down and shook my head once again.

"Just a friend." I said. "I'll be back before nine." I then left taking Camila and Camdyn. When I got there, he wasn't there yet. Well, it was only 7:20. When he showed up it was a little after seven-thirty.

"Hey, sorry I'm late. Toni came over and held me up." I shook my head.

"No, it's fine. Besides, I had company." I said looking at the two kids in my arms. He chuckled.

"Here. I'll take her." He said and took Camila out of my arms. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"I brought them because I thought it would be a good way for them to meet their father." I told him. "I mean, it might take a while, but it could work. Sorry for using that word."

"It's fine. Besides, they're probably used to Xavier by now." He said. I shook my head.

"I'm not so sure. They sometimes stay clear away from him. They're brats." I said and we both laughed.

We talked for a while until my phone started buzzing. I sighed and looked at my phone. It was Xavier. I looked at Jughead.

"Sorry. I have to take this." I said and got up. He took Camdyn and I walked away a little.

"Hey." I said with a small sigh.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"Did Aaron not tell you?" I asked.

"Tell me what? And where are the kids?" He asked. I rolled my eyes.

"They're with me. I'm with some other friends, babe." I said. I could tell He was kind of annoyed with me now.

"Why didn't you tell me where you were going? And how much longer with you be gone?" He asked.

"Because I didn't know where you were, and I don't know. I'll be there in a bit. Bye!" I said and hung up. Ever since we've been in Riverdale Xavier's been really annoying. I went and sat across from Jughead again.

"Sorry about that. I'll have to be going soon." I told him.

"Well, if you need to go back to your friends it's fine." He said. I shook my head.

"No, it's fine. I have time." I said.

"You sure?" He asked.

"Yeah," I said and we continued talking. It wasn't till about nine-thirty I realized I should go. Not only because its late, it's because of Xavier.

"Hey, I should probably get going. It's late and I need to get these two to bed." I told him and he nodded.

"Yeah, would you like help?" He asked. I nodded.

"Sure."

Jughead's POV

The whole time I just couldn't look away from Veronica. I think she noticed, but never said anything. I don't care if she did or didn't. I'm happy that she brought the kids.

About ten minutes before I was gonna leave, Toni decided to show up. She got on to me for agreeing to meet with Veronica alone. What would she like me to do? Say no and make it seem like nothings okay since she broke up with me? I don't want to hurt her feelings or anything. I've just decided to ignore my feelings for her. It's not easy, especially when I'm around her, but she's over me. I say this all the time.

When I got back to the trailer it was a little passed nine-thirty. I think it was her boyfriend who called her earlier. I don't think he likes me. Does he know I'm her ex or something? Or does he just not like me? I don't know and I really don't care. Her friends seem to like me. Her friend, Sophia, seemed to be kind of into me a little. I don't know really. I layed down in bed and just starred at the ceiling. Then there was a knock at the door. Who is it this time? Toni again? I opened the door and it was the girl from the other day. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Hi!" She said excitedly. "I was here the other night and I just couldn't get you out of my head." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"This is just great." I muttered. "I'm not interested." I told her and shut the door. Then, I went to lay back down. I think I need to start listening to Toni.
