Veronica's POV

We arrived in Riverdale late that night. We walked into the trailer each holding a kid. They were both asleep. I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back.

"Welcome home, baby." He said.

"For good," I added.

The next morning I was the first one awake. I grabbed my phone to see what time it was. It was still only five. I tried going back to sleep, but I couldn't. So I just got out of bed and just walked around in the small trailer. Honestly, I've missed being here. This trailer has some great memories that I would never have forgotten and others that hurt just to think about. I sat on the couch alone and just smiled remembering almost everything.

"Hey," I looked over and saw Jughead walking over to me. "What are you doing out here?" He slightly whispered.

"I couldn't fall back asleep," I told him. He came sat next to me. He put an arm around me and pulled me into him. "I started thinking about us and when we were in high school." He laughed.

"Oh God," He said. I smiled.

"We were honestly really stupid," I said.

"Yeah, we were." He nodded. We both went quiet. He kissed the top of my head and all I could do is smile.

"What do you think would have happened if we never broke up?" I asked and looked at him. He looked confused.

"What do you mean?"

"If we never broke up do you think things between us would be any different?"

"Well, things would have always been different. But we never will know what would have happened between us." He said. I nodded and sighed. "Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering really," I said. He leaned in and kissed me. I kissed him back and smiled a little. He pulled me onto his lap and I pulled away. He started kissing my neck. "Do you think this is really a good idea?" I asked.

"I don't know. What do you think?" He asked. I just smiled and didn't respond.

"Mama!" We both looked over and saw Camila. I climbed off of him and she came over and climbed on the couch onto my lap. I heard the disappointed sigh come from Jughead. I looked at him.

"How do you think life's been for me the last couple of years?" I asked him. He chuckled. "Can you please go see if Camdyn is awake?"

"Yeah," He got up and started walking to the back. "Also, I have to work today. I should be home by about five." He said. I just smiled and watched him walked away.

It's funny how for the few years I told myself I was never gonna come back here after graduating, but here I am three years later back in this small town. I'm not mad. I'm here with the person I should've always been with. I knew that even when we were supposed to be hating each other, I've always liked him. But he was with my best friend. Well, she wasn't really a best friend. I got brought out of my thoughts by my phone ringing. It was Cheryl. I answered it.

"Yes, Cheryl? Do you need something?" I asked.

"Are you really back in town for good?"  She asked.

"Where did you hear that?"

"Toni said Jughead texted her. So you're back in town?"

"Yeah, I'm in the trailer with Jughead and the kids."

"Wow. That's really big enough for all of you?" I rolled my eyes while she laughed.

"Shut up. Besides, his family made it work. Why can't we?" She sighed.
