Veronica's POV

I woke up, got around for the day and immediately had to call Toni. It took her about a minute to answer.

"Veronica!" She said excitedly.

"Have you guys left yet?" I asked her.

"Yes, we're gonna have to talk fast. Cheryl doesn't want me being on my phone." She said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Honestly, I don't know. But it's Cheryl." She said.

"Yeah, call me when you can then." I told her.

"Okay, I will. Talk later." She said.

"Yeah," and I hung up. That was a very boring conversation. I guess I can text Jughead.

Juggie

: I miss you

J: I miss you too

V: Are you working?

J: Yeah, and Betty is here. She's following me around everywhere

V: Ignore her

J: I'm trying

"Hey, who are you texting?" I looked up and saw Sophia. I sighed and put my phone down.

"Just Jughead." I sighed. She walked over to me.

"You miss him." She said.

"Really? Is it that obvious?" I asked sarcastically. She sighed.

"Veronica, why did you come back?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"You're with Jughead, for the third time, but you miss him. You need to be with him. Especially since you two are together." She said. I sighed again.

"I would love to be, but--" she cut me off.

"Your life not here. Your life is in Riverdale and with Jughead. Pack your stuff, take the kids, and go back to him." She said. It stayed quiet. I looked down. She's right. My life is with Jughead.

"No,"

"Veronica,"

"I can't do that! I love him Yes, but I just want leave yet."

"Why not?"

"Because I have one thing I would need to do first." I told her.

"And what is that?" She asked. I just looked at her. "Oh, no! You can't do that!"

"I just want to talk to him." I told her.

"About what? What could you possibke want to talk to him about? About how he tried hurting you?" She asked.

"How would you know about that?" I asked her.

"Jughead told us just incase he decided to show up while we were still in Riverdale. And after we left." She said. I sighed.

"Well no, that's not why." I said.

"Then you don't need to talk to him." She said. I nodded.

"Fine I won't!" I told her.

"I don't trust you."

"I don't know what to tell you."

"Give me your phone." She said.

"What?" I asked. "No!"

"Give it to me. I don't trust you." She said. I sighed.

"I know it was dumb of me to even want to text him, but I just wanted to ask why he did what he did. He took the kids, Sophia! I wanted to know why when he cheated on me! He hurt me! He lost me." I told her.

"I know that. Give it." She said and I gave it to her.

"How am I supposed to text Jughead now?" I asked and she started walking out of the room.

"I'll text him for you!" She said.

"No, you're not. Not without me being right there!" I following her to her room where Madelyn was.

Jughead's POV

Waking up alone sucks. Everytime Veronica and I broke up, waking up alone just sucked. We aren't even broken up now. I just hope this it lasts. Third times a charm, right?

It got a text from Kevin that needed to talk to me at Pop's. I know what this is gonna be about. I guess I could go. I got there and he was already sitting in a booth. I sighed and walked over to him.

"Let me guess," I said and sat across from him. "You wanted to talk about why I didn't try and convince Veronica to stay, right?"

"I mean, I would love to know why you didn't try. I also wanted to ask about you how guys got back together." He said. I sighed.

"It was the day after her and her ex broke up." I told him.

"That fast?" He asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, she kissed me though. I honestly don't know why I didn't try and get her to stay. I wish I did, but I didn't." I said and looked down. He chuckled. "What?"

"Why don't you just go to her? She came to you. Now you should go to her." He said.

"But she just left yesterday." I said.

"And you love her, don't you?" He asked. I sighed.

"More than anything." I said.

"Then it doesn't matter if she just left, does is?" I just looked at him. He sighed. "No, it doesn't. Now, would you like me to go with you?" He asked. I chuckled.

"No, you don't need to. But I'm not doing it today." I told him.

"Why not?" He asked.

"I think I might want to just show up out of nowhere." I told him.

"You mean surprise her?" He asked.

"I guess so. Something like that." I said.

"You do that," he said.

"I better go." I told him.

"Okay." He said and I left. Maybe I can wait a few days. I kind of agree with Kevin. Why didn't I think of it?
