7 Days Till The Wedding
Veronica's POV
I woke up to someone moving and getting up. It was Jughead. I smiled a little and looked up at him.
"Where are you going?" I asked him.
"Oh, I didn't mean to wake you." He said and kisses my forehead. I smiled a little. "I have to go."
"Where?" I asked him.
"To work." He said. I sighed.
"Oh, why? Just miss a day." I told him. He chuckled.
"I would love to, but there's two sleeping kids in the back." He said quietly.
"Oh, like I forgot about them." I said sarcastically. "I watched you put them back to bed in the middle of the night."
"You saw that? I didn't know you were awake." He said.
"I was. I stayed quiet so they didn't know." I said talking about the kids. He chuckled.
"Yeah. Well, I have to go. I don't want to be late." He said. I stood up as he got to the door.
"Jughead." He looked at me. "What are we?" I asked. He sighed quietly and walked over to me. Then, grabbed my hands.
"What do you want?" He asked me. I just looked at him for a second.
"I want to try again." I said. He nodded.
"Me too." He said and I kissed him. "I have to go." He said when he pulled away. I smiled.
"Okay." I said quietly and he left. Then the kids ran put to me. Oh, great!
Jughead's POV
Veronica and I are together. Again! That's the third time. I just hope this time it lasts. I don't want to lose her again.
When I got to Pop's, Betty was there. She was on the phone with somebody and she didn't seem very happy. I rolled my eyes and looked away from her. Next thing I know, she's standing right in front of me.
"What do you want, Betty?" I asked. She smiled innocently. I know where this is going. "No."
"Come on, Juggie! It'll be fun." She said.
"No, it won't. Besides, you're with Sweet Pea." I said. She sighed.
"He doesn't pay attention to me anymore. Also, I think he knows about me and Veronica's boyfriend. Do you know where he is actually?" She asked. Yeah, you're looking at him.
"He's back in New York." I told her. She sighed sadly.
"Why did he go back? I really liked him." She said. You deserve him.
"Because him and Veronica are in a bad place." I told her.
"Oh, yeah. I guess that's my fault." She giggled a little. Wow! That's disgusting.
"Yeah," I muttered.
"What's wrong, Juggie?" She asked.
"Quit calling me that." I said, trying not to sound too rude.
"Why? You're not with anybody, Jug." She said. I smiled. "Why are you smiling?"
"Well, you are with someone so get out of here. Go talk to him. Leave me alone." I told her.
"You're hiding something." She said.
"What?" I quickly asked.
"You're hiding something. I know you, Jug. What is it?" She asked.
"Nothing, Betty! Go away. I don't want to talk to you anymore." I said. She sighed.
"Fine." She said, annoyed, and walked out of Pop's.
When I got back to the trailer, it was almost eight. Veronica was there just sitting on the couch. She smiled at me and I smiled back.
"That was late. Later than I thought it would be." She said. I sighed and sat next to her.
"Yeah, it didn't start off so well though." I told her.
"Why?" She asked.
"It was Betty." She sighed, annoyed. "She tried to get me to sleep with her."
"What?" She asked.
"Don't worry." I said and pulled her close to me. "You're the only one for me."
"Oh, I know." We both laughed.
"Where are the kids?" I asked.
"Cheryl and Toni came by. Said they wanted to see how being parents would be." She said.
"What are they wanting to do? They literally are getting married in seven days." I said and she laughed a little.
"They know what they are doing. Besides, they're waiting a while before they even think about adopting at all." She said and I nodded.
"Oh, makes more sense." I said. I pulled her closer to me.
"Jug, are you okay?" She asked. I looked at her.
"I'm not letting you go. Never again." I said. She smiled moved, getting out of my arms.
"You're not gonna lose me. And I don't want to lose you again either." She and kissed me. I kissed her back. It was soft and passionate. She pulled away and brought her into my embrace again. I'm never letting her go again.
