Veronica's POV

"Kevin? Who the hell is Kevin? Who are these people?" Sohpia asked me. I sighed.

"They are my old friends." I told her.

"Are you gonna go?" Madelyn asked. I shrugged.

"I don't know. I mean, they were a long time ago and--" Sophia cut me off.

"That's where the ex is. The ex boyfriend?" She asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, I mean, I really want to see my old friends against. But, I'm not sure how I would feel seeing him again." I said. She nodded.

"Maybe you should go. It would be a great opportunity to see old friends. It might help." She said. I nodded again.

"Yeah, maybe you could take us. Have people you've known for a bit." Madelyn said.

"Yeah, maybe I think I might do that. Would you two come?" I asked.

"I would love to go!" Madelyn said excitedly. I laughed and looked at Sohpia.

"Please?"  I asked. She sighed and smiled.

"Fine! But because it's for you." She said. I smiled and hugged her.

"Thank you! Now all I have to do is get Aaron and Xavier." I mumbled.

"Aaron would be glad to go. Xavier might have some problems though. I get him to go." Sophia said. I shook my head.

"No, I'll talk to him when he gets home later. He'll probably be back by nine." I told them.

"Did he leave?" Madelyn asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, work." I said.

At around ten the bedroom door opened. I turned and saw Xavier. He smiled at me and smiled back. He walked over to me and lightly kissed me.

"You're later than I thought you would be." I told him.

"Yeah, I got held up a bit longer than I thought I would. It's quiet here and it's only ten." He said. I laughed.

"Yeah, Aaron's not back so I guess he's not coming home. Madelyn went to bed early and I'm so sure about Sophia. And I already put the kids to bed." I told him.

"Oh, great." He said and kissed me. I kissed him back, but pulled away.

"Actually I wanted to talk to you about something." I said. He nodded. "I got a text earlier. It was from one my one friends."

"Okay? I don't understand." He said.

"Two of my old bestfriends are getting married and I really want to go back for them. Madelyn and Sophia said they would go. I texted Aaron he said. He would. Would you like to--" he cut me off.

"Wait, are these the friends that you stopped talking to? And the ones that are friends with your ex?" He asked. I nodded.

"Yes, but I don't know why that matters." I said.

"It... it doesn't I was just clearing up." He said.

"Okay? Would you come with us?" I asked.

"When is it?" He asked.

"Its in three weeks, but they want people there at least a week before, two at the most." I told him.

"Have you planned when you want to leave?" He asked. I nodded.

"I thought I wanted to go early. Just so I would have time to catch up with everybody before. So maybe a couple days from now." I told him.

"Do they know you're coming?" He asked. I shook my head.
