6 Days Till The Wedding
Veronica's POV
"Where the hell have you been?" Aaron asked me as he walked into the room. I looked at him.
"I got here an hour ago. You guys weren't here. Where were you?" I asked him, with a smile on my face. He walked over to me.
"Where have you been? We've been wondering where you were." He said getting a little angry.
"You could've just called you know. I've been with Jughead the past couple of days. I just came for a few things." I told him.
"And you couldn't tell us why? Why are you even staying with him anyways?" He asked. I sighed.
"Because he's my friend and I would like to be with him before we leave." I said. I'm just now remembering we're leaving soon.
"And you couldn't have told us? Also, when are we leaving after the wedding?" He asked.
"I-I don't know yet. I'll let you know when I figure it out." I told him. "I'm gonna go now." I said and left the room. I ran into Sophia and Madelyn.
"Where are you going? And where have you been?" Sophia asked. I sighed.
"If I have to answer this again I'm going to hurt somebody. I've been with Jughead, okay! I need to go now, he's waiting." I said and left
"Wait. Veronica, wait." Sophia said and shut the door.
"What?" I asked.
"Are you... seeing Jughead?" She asked.
"No, I'm not." I said hesitantly.
"Veronica, tell me the truth. I won't care." She said. I sighed.
"Veronica, you coming?" I looked back and saw Jughead. I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah," I looked back at Sophia. "No, we're not together. We are old ex's and now we're just friends, okay?"
"Okay." She muttered. I walked over to Jughead.
"What was that?" He asked.
"She was just asking if we were together. She knows we were together before. She figured it out the first day we were here." I told him.
"Well, what did you tell her." I looked up at him and I sighed.
"I'm sorry, Jug. I just--" he cut me off.
"No, no, it's fine. I understand." He said.
"Are you sure?" I asked him.
"Yes, absolutely. It's just like in the beginning." He said. I smiled and rolled my eyes.
"But at that time Cheryl had a party and everything went sideways from there because if Betty." I told him.
"But that's not gonna happen this time. Besides, we've grown up..." I looked at him with disbelief. "Most of us." I laughed a little.
"Their wedding is in six days. Just remember that." I said with a smile and walked off.
"It's not happening!" He said. I just smiled at him.
"Let's go." I said and he wrapped his arm around me.
When we got back to the trailer it was a little passed noon. We were on the couch and the kids were just playing.
"I wonder how long it'll take for them to know you're their father." I said. He chuckled.
"I don't know, but I think after some time it might come. They're only three and two." He said.
"And have known Xavier longer." I told him.
"Well, Camila knew me the first year of her life." He said.
"I know that." I said and he pulled me closer. "You need to stop doing that." I told him.
"I can't help it." He said. I laughed a little.
"Juggie, I'm not going anywhere. I promise." I told him.
"Promises never stick with us. They were never kept long enough." He said. I sighed.
"But this time they will be. Okay?" I asked him. He chuckled.
"Okay." He said and I lightly kissed him. Then my phone went off. I sighed.
"It's Toni. She wants me to go over there with the other girls." I told him.
"Will Betty be there?" He asked.
"I don't know. Probably, why?" I asked him.
"Do the other girls know what happened?" He asked.
"No, only Madelyn and Sophia. What does it matter?" I asked him again.
"It doesn't. I just don't trust Betty and anything that comes out of her mouth." He said.
"It'll be fine, Jug." I told him.
"I know. You can take care of yourself." He said, mimicking me. I smiled.
"Yes. I. Can." I said and kissed him then left. How bad could it be? Even with Betty there. But being back with Jughead is happiest moment of my life. Even if it is for the third time. It all feels like a dream.
