Chapter Twenty Nine

Here's your update!!

I was roaming around the house, not sure what to do, it's been a while, I heard some banging from somewhere so I followed the source of the sound and saw Tyler hitting his head on the wall, he was still listening to music On his headphones but it was so loud that even I could hear it.

I went to him and removed his headphones , " what's wrong with you?" I asked worriedly

" Even I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with me" Tyler said in a tired tone

" Hey talk to me, maybe I can help" I said trying to comfort him

" You won't believe me" He said in a plain tone and tried to walk away but I pushed him back

" You know I have some mysterious powers, I should not exist according to the law of nature, so tell me now" I tried to persuade him

" Ok, it's just that I hear voices in my head all the time, it's annoying, I couldn't sleep, that's why I wear headphones so I don't hear these strange voices all the time" he said in a serious tone this time

" Maybe you're just hallucinating" I said the most obvious thing

" No no, it's like hearing someone's thoughts" Tyler tried to eleborate it

" You're hearing thoughts" I looked at him confused

"Mmmh" he said

" Ok try to read my thoughts" I said

He focused on me, but nothing happened

" I can't, it's weird" He said as he tried to focus again

" Maybe I know why, ok try to read that maid's thoughts" I said as I pointed to a maid who was vacuuming the floor nearby

He looked at me in confusion but then looked at the maid and his eyes widen,
" she's thinking about her child, he's ill" Tyler said

I went to the maid and asked her casually, " how's your family?"

" Oh, it's doing good, it's just my child" she said lost in her thoughts

" What about your child?" Tyler came and asked her

" He's ill, but he'll be well" she said and continued her work

" Why don't you take a holiday, I'll talk to Mr.Russo for you, don't worry" I assured her, she smiled at me gently and left immediately.

I dragged Tyler to Kartik's office and barged in without knocking

" I think I know what's wrong with him" I said with determination

The three pairs of eyes looked at me with confusion and curiosity.

" Care to share with us" Lucas said in a little unfriendly way, I ignored his tone and continued with my explanation.

"I..I think he's my brother" I said looking at the floor, all my confidence gone

I heard some shuffling and Kartik was standing in front of me

" Naira how can you say that, I mean there's no proof" Kartik said

" The orphanage that I used to live, the owner of that place told me before I left the place, that I'm abnormal and special, she told me that I hava a twin brother, he would be like me, abnormal and special" I said still looking down, I don't want to look at anyone, they might be thinking I'm crazy.

" WHAT'S ABNORMAL ABOUT TYLER HUH?" Lucas shouted, at which I flinched

" Calm down, will you" David said to Lucas

" He can read minds" I said finally

" W.. what?" Kartik said confused

" But he couldn't do that before" David said as he stood up from his chair

" Ya I couldn't do that before" Tyler's voice came from behind

" I don't know ok, I'm also confused as hell" I said frustrated

" Hmm... let's take it step by step, first you both" Kartik said pointing at Tyler and me, " take a blood test and then we're visiting that damn orphanage" he said as he hugged me.
