Chapter Twenty Five

He came inside as if he owns the place. I regained from the shock and faced him. Then I rubbed my eyes again, to see if I'm hallucinating

" Hold on, you died" I said trying not to make a fool of myself

" Yeah, well it didn't stick" he said taking a place on the couch.

I literally jumped and hugged him tightly, " you're really alive"

" Naira you're choking me" David said trying to push me

" But how??" I asked taking a place beside him

" It's a long story" David smiled

" Well I have all the time in the world" I said

" I just survived somehow, but what's important is what happened before that" He said looking at his palms

" Ya ya, tell me already" I'm very impatient when it comes to these things

" I'll tell you on the flight, we're going back" He suddenly got up from the couch

" But Lucas said that I can't take a risk, and I should stay here" I said almost in a whisper

" More reasons for us to go back, something is suspicious" he said

" Why, what happened?" I said, not getting what he's trying to say

" The mafia is running more smoothly than expected" he said making a thinking face

" That's good then, what's the problem in it?" I asked again, this man just can't tell me, he loves beating around the bush

" No Naira, it's not easy, forget it, get ready, we'll be leaving soon" David said and went to the kitchen.

In the Flight

" Just a minute, you love someone??!!!" I literally shouted, David instantly put his palm on my mouth, and threatened me with his eyes like say another word and I'll throw you out.

" I'm sorry, I just can't believe" I whispered after calming down myself

He gave me ' you're impossible' look and shook his head, " Do I really look that bad?" He said out of nowhere

" No no, it's not that ofcourse you look great, well not great than Kartik, but yeah" I said, and now I'm regretting it

" You still think of him, he's always this stubborn, can't he just get up now" David said looking out of the window

I can see the sadness in his eyes, though he'll not show it, but he cares for Kartik, ever since I came to Italy, I've never heard him speaking of Kartik, this was the first time.

" Ok so who's the girl?" I asked trying to divert the topic

" She's beautiful" he said without hesitation

" But you have to settle then" I kind of whispered

" Ya that's why I haven't told her yet, that I love her" David said sighing

" You didn't, how you met her?" I asked

" Sleep for sometime, I'll tell you, you're not looking after yourself" David said

" I am" I gulped

" You look pale, you should have not done it" David gave me a disappointing look and then took out his phone to check something, I just closed my eyes and the darkness welcomed me

11 months before

" Naira it's not working" David said

I was shocked, why my blood is not healing them, it healed Lucas, but why not them

" Then I'll give more" I said immediately

" I don't think so, it's a good idea" Lucas said

" But I didn't even gave that much, it was just a few drops, maybe because the wound is big so they need more" I tried to convince them

" Ok, let's try one more time" Lucas said sighing

This time I gave more blood during the blood transfusion, but the result was nothing, it didn't help them. I have to help them, if maybe I give more blood.

" How about more?" I asked

" No Naira!! That's enough" both Lucas and David shouted

I just held my head low, because I can't help as they expected. What if I do it without letting them know.

I sneaked into Kartik's and Tyler's room and with magic, I transferred blood to the bottle attached to the injections, which were attached to their body, and I was so into helping them, I started getting dizzying and next thing I know darkness welcomed me.
