Chapter Thirteen

Kartik's POV

I sat upright, no sooner, I heard he is here to kill Xavier, and people related to him.

" Just kill Xavier, why increase your work" I laughed a littler nervously

" Don't worry brother, it's my work, I'll take care of it" David laughed it off and went out.

Shit!! If he found out that Naira is Xavier's sister, he would kill her. This is so messed up, I can't tell Naira about it, she would freak out and her powers would be out of control. I need to protect her.

" Sir?" A voice came, I asked him to come in, It was one of the guards

" Sir, Miss Naira is asking for you immediately" he said and then went away. She's gonna be death of me. I sighed and went to her room.

I entered her room without knocking, I know it's rude, but I'm in this mess because of her, she was back facing me.

" What do you want now?" I asked in a stern tone. She slowly turned around to face me, and what I saw was shocking

" What the hell? What's happening to you now?" I asked, her palm's nerves are golden in color, which were glowing very brightly.

" I need to let it out" she said in a shaky voice

" How?" I was confused

" Take me somewhere, I don't know, or I will hurt somebody, please" she literally begged, she was scared, I don't like to see her in this state.

" Follow me" I said and covered her upper body including her palm's with a cloth, so nobody sees this. We went to the garage and got in first car that I saw and drove to the forest area, actually there are no animals, but it's in a very secluded area, so nobody goes there.

" Don't worry, everything's gonna be fine" I said as we got out of the car, and I removed the cloth covering her palms, she walked a little further away from me.

" Stay away a little" she said as her figure shivered a little.

Then something happened, it was like magic, a very bright but a powerful sort of light came out from her palms, it was so bright that I have to close my eyes and in a second it was gone, I opened my eyes and saw her collapsing, I immediately ran to her and caught her.

" Are you ok?" I asked in a concerned tone

" Just a little peachy" she giggled even in this state, her eyes showing the mischievous and innocent side of her, she's cute.

I helped her stand up, then we looked at the damage, she broke two pine trees and let's say many were in ashes. When I looked at her, she bit her lip nervously, can she stop doing that?

" I guess we're gonna have 2 Christmas trees this Christmas" I said and she laughed a little.

We both headed back towards the car

" Does it always happen?? I mean like before all this?" I asked trying to select my words carefully

"No" she replied

" Then why....." I was cut off by her

" I could always control my powers easily, before Xavier started to inject me with drugs, I couldn't feel my power until I got treated here, so it will take sometime to control it again, but I will" she replied in a serious and determined tone.

" I want to talk to you about one thing" I said, she shrugged her shoulders

" Don't tell anyone in the house that you're a Valentino, or like you even know them, because we're rivals that's why, it might trigger someone to kill you" I explained, I was never this nervous

" Then why are you protecting me" she asked as we entered the garage to park the car.

I parked the car, removed my seatbelt and faced her, our faces were really close.

" I don't know, maybe your magic is working on me too" I whispered in her ear and our cheeks brushed a little.
