Here is your update!!

I noticed that I haven't bathed yet and it's afternoon already, time passes fast when you're overthinking. When I was about to go for a bath, someone knocked at my door, I opened it slightly and saw David standing outside, what the hell is he doing here?

" What do you want?" I asked plainly, because he's the last guy I want to pick a fight with according to Kartik.

" How rude, won't you even invite me in?" He said in a generous tone, nothing fake about it.

I opened the door wide and let him in,

" Kartik told me about your situation" David said looking at a sketch that I have recently

" What situation?" I tried to play it off, did Kartik really told him about the real me

" That Christopher attacked you in the heat of the moment, and you were at the wrong place at the wrong time" he said

" Ya wrong place" I took a breath , he doesn't know anything

" And you are an innocent that's why they're helping you" he added

" How do you know that I'm an innocent?" I asked as I remembered the times when I used to kill people for my brother

" Kartik would have told you that I'm a psychopath killer, it's true even small things ticks me off but only for the enemies" he tried to reduce the tension

I just nodded, so he continued

" I'm an killer Naira, I know when a person is innocent or not, they'll think that I can see their soul, maybe, but it's a feeling that I get, and right now I know that you're an innocent" he explained

Maybe his feeling thing is not working correctly, " Even if you had done something, trust me it was the right thing to do" he added and then proceeded towards the door

" Bye" and then he closed the door behind him

I'm definitely not an innocent that I know, I've taken lives.

No one's POV

David entered Kartik's office

" You called for me?" David asked Kartik as he took a seat infront of Kartik

"What are you here for David?" Kartik asked in a serious tone

" I don't want to involve you, you know I'm an one man army" David explain

" I know that, but if there is anything that I can help you with" Kartik said in a generous and carying tone towards his cousin

" You still feel guilt for my father's death" David chuckled in disbelief, Kartik remained silent

" I told you not to, he deserves it, after what he did with my mom, he fu!ing deserves it" David shouted a little bit

" But still he was your dad, and if I had sent my men at the right time then he would be alive" Kartik explained, self guilt eating him from inside

" He died in a car accident, and one thing I know there was no politics behind it" David explained.

Kartik just nodded trying to accept the fact

" What if it was your dad?" David smirked, he knew he has hit a nerve.

Kartik furiously looked up, and glared at David, " He's not my dad, a dad never beats his child brutally just in the name of teaching" Kartik said

" Hmm...we both don't have good history with our dads, they were like the evil brothers" David chuckled a bit which made Kartik also smile

They both trust eachother, they might not show it but they care for eachother.

" Back to the topic, why are you here, Is your deal over with the last mafia you were in??" Kartik questioned

" You know, I just do their dirty work, get the money, no strings attached" David said taking a sip of water

" What is it this time?" Kartik asked again, he knew David is delaying the question which is irking Kartik.

David leaned a little bit towards Kartik, " This time it is personal" David whispered, Kartik looked at him with questioning eyes

" Fine, I'll tell you, my mom is alive" David said

" What!??" Kartik was shocked

" Ya I know, I had the same reaction, there were some rumours about Mrs. Matthew's being alive, like some had saw her" David explained

" So you're here to see if the rumours are true?" Kartik asked while folding his hands

" No, I'm here to kill, I will kill each and every person who helped my father, and for one thing I'm sure this man was involved with my father for a long time, and he surely would have helped in killing or like right now kidnapping my mother" David said frustratingly

" Who is he?" Kartik asked while relaxing back in his chair

" Xavier Valentino, I will destroy each and every person related to Valentino" David leaned back on his chair, while Kartik sat upright.
