1.5 MONTHS LATER

EYRIE

It was 15 December, the last day of school before the winter break. I was pretty familiar with the teachers and the school by now. I had made a lot of friends, but my main circle remained the one that I managed to make on my very first day here. Luisa, Lyv and I had had a lot of study sessions, which ended up being super chaotic because Lyv and I would always start a pillow fight or something similar while Luisa would try to remind us of our purpose of being there. She was never a buzz kill, though. I could bet that the only reason she even tried stopping us, was for formality so that later on she could tell us told you so and slip out of being called irresponsible. After that, shed end up making fun of the two of us. All things said, they were very close friends of mine and I really liked them.

Liam and I became very close friends over the time. There were plenty of tutoring sessions, coffees, lame walks and most of all, loads of gossip. Well, not exactly gossip, but he has been answering all my questions about any of the boys pretty much. I trusted Liam with everything and he was a great friend to me. He gave me a safe and comfortable space to talk about things and be myself. I trusted him just as much as Zayn but even then, I hadnt told him about Niall yet. That, however, had nothing to do with trust. I wished to take things slow. I want to be sure about my feelings before sharing them with a lot of people.

Niall and I had a slow progress which I reckon was because I get all nervous around him. We interacted almost all the time but it never got to serious, personal talks. All of us spent quite a lot of time with each other as a group. There was this one time when we were all strolling on the street near Zayns house and at one point, Niall just casually put his arm around me and continued walking as if nothing had happened. On the other hand, I was totally freaking out on the inside but tried to act it off cool on the out. I think I actually succeeded since no one, other than the two evil minds, seemed to notice. They teased me about it for a whole week but I secretly enjoyed it.

I also managed to have quite many conversations with Harry, which if you ask me, is a real achievement. One thing that I noticed about him was that he liked to have company but he never really wanted to speak so, I went on like a chatter box with him and he would always listen to every single word of mine, as if I was teaching him for an exam. I liked the way he paid so close attention to all of my talks even when they made no sense and how he never told me to shut up. Although, however much I liked his company, I did not open up about my feelings or personal stuff with him, either. I hoped one day, I would.

There was very little progress in the area of the Louis Tomlinson challenge that I had set up for myself. I had some short exchange of words with him and a little information from Liam but for all its worth, it was nothing special. He really was a hard guy to get to but I hadnt given up.

Zayn and I were probably the madhouse of our group. Everyone seemed to be tired, yet, not tired of us. We pranked them all to such an extent that theyd close the door of the room and keep the two of us out. The only time our pranking got back to us was when we targetted Louis. Bad decision! He was super mad and then he said something to Zayn which resulted in me telling him to back off. It didnt turn into a fight, which was a relief. For some reason, Louis even apologised later on and tried to laugh it off so, we were all cool. Even though I didnt get to know Louis very much yet, I started to understand his side of the story and honestly, I even started liking him a little by what Liam told me.

Now, onto the present day. I was excited as it was going to be my first Christmas with my new best friends. It was also Louiss birthday on 24 but I didnt really know if that was going to be an event for me or not, as we barely even talked. I was wearing my favourite fur-hoodie and jeans. It was cold outside but I liked it because I always liked winter outfits. Today, Zayn was going to drive me to school and not my mum. I was waiting for him in the driveway because I could hardly sit in the living room. I dont know why I was feeling so excited for the day but whatever the reason, I was happy and that was good.

I heard a car approaching and then Zayns voice. Vas happenin Eers!

Someones energetic today. I replied, opening the passenger door and stepping in.

The winter breaks here and this time, I can have Christmas with my friends for the first time ever, even though Ive practically lived here my whole life. Its awesome!

Someone doesnt enjoy Christmas with me, I see.

With my friends AND you, Eyrie. Youre always such a drama queen. he said, shaking his head sarcastically.

Whatever I said as I shoved him and laughed.

We had quite the ride to the school and when we reached there, I jumped out of the car, ready to barge into the hallway and meet my friends. When I initially came to this town, I wasnt expecting such a crazy and interesting life but, I guess I got lucky.

As soon as we entered the corridor, Niall jumped out of thin air.

Hey guys! he exclaimed with the wide grin of his. He always lighted my world up with that expression. His eyes shining like bright lights during the night and his cheeks redder than his sweatshirt. When he smiled like that, he looked perfect and nothing in the world can make me feel bad in moments such as those. Watching him like that was the one thing that I could never get tired of no matter what phase I am in.

Hello, Nialler. Were finally here. Zayn said putting his arm around Niall and squeezing him. The three boys were such good friends. They always warmed my heart.

Hey, Eyrie. he said raising his eyebrows and smiling, still.

Hi, Niall.

How are you feeling today?

All good. I said, smiling widely. Wheres Harry?

Hes coming. He went over to his locker.

Oh alright. Ill go find the girls. See you guys around!

Ahh yes and dont forget about the hang out plan today. Im looking forward to it. He was looking at me straight in the eyes.

Me too I said, totally fonding over him. I could bet a billion dollars that in that particular moment, I looked completely stupid. I was still staring at him when I got shoved by Lyv.

Watcha looking at, girl? she whispered in my ear and laughed. Hey boys! she exclaimed, louder this time and received equally energetic responses from both the guys.

Nothing. Lets get going. Its the last day, yay! I put both my arms around each of them and then, we started walking away.
