Eyrie
It had been a whole week since Harry had last talked to Louis. We had no idea what was going on. All of us tried calling him, but his phone was switched off ever since he had reached his college. We also called Liam in hopes of gaining some reason whatsoever, but we had no luck there, either. He was just as much in the dark as us.
The weight in the air was noticeable whenever the four of us would be together. Harry had shown no sign of weakness, yet and to be honest, that was more worrying than it would have been to see him crying. Not that I wanted him to cry, but it was a little scary to get no reaction from him about the whole situation. Sure, he was anxious and hardly spoke anything, but he was far from shedding a tear and somehow I knew that he hadn't cried even when he was alone. None of us had given up and we were desperately trying to reach Louis.
"I have an idea! We should call his college and ask them about it!" Niall exclaimed.
"What? And what will we say?" Zayn asked him.
"We'll tell them that we're family and we want to talk to him. It's worth a try, at least. Isn't it?" Niall looked around hopefully.
I stole a glance at Harry. He was staring at his necklace and touching it softly with his fingertips. If you looked deep enough, there was a small glimmer of hope in his eyes and that was enough for me to instantly agree with the idea, no matter how unlikely it's success seemed.
"Yes, of course. Do we google their reception contact?" I asked.
"Yup, I'll do it," Niall chirped, jumping for his phone and typing away furiously. "Got it!"
"Okay, so who's gonna talk?" I asked.
"I think Zayn should do it. He's got the deepest voice out of us all," Niall said.
"Makes perfect sense to me," I agreed, nodding.
Niall quickly handed the phone over to Zayn, who dialled the number and put it on speaker. We waited anxiously as the phone rang. As soon as the ringing stopped, signifying someone had picked up on the other end, we all held our breaths in.
"Hello. How can I help you?" A woman asked from the other side. Zayn cleared his throat before speaking.
"Hello. I wanted to see if I could speak with Louis Tomlinson. He has just enrolled in your school," Zayn said.
"Yes, I know about him, but sir, I think we already informed his family about the situation," she answered.
Situation? What situation? I looked over to Niall and he had the same scared expression as me. Harry looked rather frightened and my mind started creating the worst scenarios as well. What if he was hurt? What if something wrong had happened to him? Nope, no way. I had to stay strong for Harry. We all did.
"I'm sorry ma'am, but I don't think I'm aware of it," Zayn spoke, professionally. I had to admit it, he was doing a really great job.
"Are you his family, sir?" The woman asked.
"Yes!" Zayn replied in a heartbeat.
"Then I suggest you talk with his mother. She is well aware. I am not authorised to give out any information, sir." she explained patiently.
There was no point fighting her so I gave Zayn a slight nod and he continued, "Thank you for your time. Have a good day." he said before hanging up.
"I guess we'll have to pay his mum a visit then," Niall said determinedly.
"No." Harry said for the first time all day and all of our heads turned towards him so fast that it could have given us all a whiplash.
"Haz, what?" I asked softly, placing my hand on his knee.
