Harry
The music in my ears was louder than usual. Generally, I disliked loud anything but, today I wanted to feel a rush. I had been very lazy all day, sitting on the couch with my mum and watching movies. It was almost four in the evening and she was asleep. I tried to think of a way that would give me what I needed and loud pop music is the best I could come up with. I usually listen to slow and soft music but, today was different and I didnt know why.
I had been roaming around my house with earphones for about twenty minutes now. I felt pretty good and the music was definitely a reason. The main reason was the time I got to spend with my mum. It had been very long since we spent so many hours together. There was a lot of talking and laughs. She told me about her work and I told her about how school was going, obviously, leaving out the upsetting details. The music made me feel happy and active but, there was still a lot of scope for more blood rush.
Just as a good song was getting faster, the flow was broken by my ringtone. The ringtone at such a volume sounded like a loud screeching noise and I immediately winced. I pressed the green button on my screen as fast as I could. I was relieved when the noise stopped and Niall's voice was followed by.
"Hello, H! How's it going?" he asked, enthusiastically.
"Hi Niall. It's been really great with my mum. I'm really happy. We did a lot of stuff together, ya know. I'm definitely giving you details as soon as we meet. What have you been doing?" I was completely sure that Niall was surprised by my light mood. Even when I'm feeling good, I don't talk much but today, I wasn't just feeling good, I was feeling great.
"You sound really happy, Harry. I'm glad you feel that way. I had been over to Eyrie's with Zayn and the other girls. We helped her decorate and then Zayn and I dozed off in her living room. That's pretty much it."
"Dozed off in Eyrie's living room, huh?" I teased.
"As a matter of fact, I slept with my head on her shoulder". he said, sounding proud of himself. I smiled.
"Oh, I see. What else did you do? Kissed her?"
"Actually, yeah. I kissed her on the cheek before leaving."
"You did WHAT?"
"Don't act so surprised, H. You know that I like hugging and kissing my friends all the time." he giggled.
"Yeah, whatever. I'm sure she thinks you're a creep." After I completed my sentence, I heard Niall scoff.
"Oh, please! By the way, H, I called you to tell you about something else." He suddenly sounded nervous. I could clearly tell that whatever it was that he wanted to say, it was definitely something that he felt uncertain about telling me. I wondered if it was a secret of some sort but, I doubted that.
"What's it?" I asked, curious to know.
He cleared his throat before speaking, "Louis wants us all to go to his birthday party tomorrow."
It took me a good while to process the information. I did not realize that I had stopped breathing. The news was scary yet, amazing. Louis had invited us all to his birthday party. I would have never expected to ever get an invitation from him. When I held my breath for too long, I finally let out a gasp, sucking air in.
"What are you doing, Harry? Are you okay?" Niall asked, worriedly.
"Yeah yeah, I'm all good. Sorry for that. What time are we going?" I asked, excitedly.
"Six thirty." he said.
"Okay, cool." I replied.
"Don't get your hopes up, H. I don't want to see you hurt, you know that, right? I love you."
