I was sitting on my dining table along with Liam and a number of books were lying around. We had hardly done anything in the last 30 minutes. It wasn’t like we had done nothing but, we weren’t matching our usual efficiency. I didn’t feel like studying and he probably didn’t feel like tutoring, either. We were in a good mood and studying wasn’t really what we wanted to do. However, Liam is pretty determined when it comes to doing the right thing and we both knew that the right thing, was to solve a little more questions. Extremely righteous as always, he gave me 5 more quadratic sums to finish.

After a while when I finished the assigned work, we both went over to the couch and practically just fell on it. I turned the TV on even though we both knew that neither one of us was gonna pay attention to it since, we’d be busy talking. I liked this part of the tuition when the boring bit, namely, studying, was over and we would just sit down and talk.

“So, how was your day?” Liam asked to initiate the conversation. It was mostly him who did this part of the job because I just sat tired from the brain whacking thing named Maths so, he would always be the one to kick start the interaction.

I sighed deeply and then answered, “Well, school was good. I was a little worried about Harry but then they sorted it out so, all’s good. The cafe was pretty amazing but, you already know that cause you were there. And our tutoring session, well that was super boring until now and I’m sure you’ll make it up to me.” I smiled and winked.

He just laughed, in his adorable way and said, “Alright, miss. What do you want me to do, then?”

“Talk.”

“Aren’t we already doing that?”

“Did I say I was bored in the moment?”

“Yeah, makes sense. Hey, by the way, what happened to Harry? I came across him in the restrooms and he never told me what was up.”

“He shouted at Niall for some reason, related to Louis and Niall was hurt about that so, he didn’t really talk to Harry in the lunch break. Harry tried apologizing but Niall still didn’t say anything so, he got up and left.”

“Because of Louis? That’s interesting. I don’t understand the deal, though. I just wish things were a little clearer for the both of them.”

“Yeah, me too.” I sighed.

We both fell silent for a while and fixed our eyes on the screen. I had no clue of what he was thinking but, I couldn’t shake the thought of Harry away. He was such a pure person who tried to be kind to everyone even when they were jerks to him and yet, he liked a boy who did not show the slightest of interest. I wanted to help him and it really hurt me every time that I realised that there was nothing that I could do. The idea of confronting Louis had come across my mind a few times but, I knew that that would upset Harry and I couldn’t risk it. There was no guarantee that the interaction from Louis’s side would be very successful, either so, it wasn’t worth it.

“Hey Liam, I wanna tell you something.” I finally said.

“Go on.”

“Well, I haven’t even told Zayn yet and I don’t know if he’d feel good about you knowing it before him but, there is a good reason behind that.”

“Ah. You’re conflicted whether to tell me or not. I can assure you that I won’t tell anyone, if that makes it any better.” he said, looking at me curiously.

“Alright. Phew! I feel nervous.” I chuckled.

“You’re acting as if I’m your mom and you wanna come out to me.” he laughed.
