The serenity of the woods and the sound of the wind swaying the trees was peaceful as the car rocked slightly on the bumpy road. Alice was practically bouncing in excitement as her eyes darted around the forest.
Kara smiled as she rested her head against the glass pane because this is where they confessed to eachother and where Barry first told her that he loved her.
Grace smiled as her bubbly little sister rocked in her seat as she let out small giggles.
"What's so funny?" Grace asked as Alice pointed at her mom
"She's really happy." Alice whispered
"What about Barry?" Grace asked curiously. Alice squinted her eyes slightly as her smile disappeared from her face.
"He....He's sad but also happy." Alice said as the bright light in her eye dimmed slightly.
"What am I feeling?" Grace asked as Alice poked her forehead
"You're happy as well." Alice giggled as Grace ruffled her hair slightly
The car came to a slow stop as Alice practically jumped out of the car and rushed to her mom.
"Slow down sweetie." Kara chuckled, "Are you sure she isn't a speedster as well?" She asked as Barry laughed along with her.
"Not sure, maybe." He said shrugging his shoulders as he slung her bag over his arm, "You guys go ahead, I'll get the bags." He smiled as Kara pecked his cheek
"Thanks Barr, love you." She smiled as Alice grabbed her hand and pulled her along
"That includes you as well Grace." Barry said lifting her bag into his hands. She pouted slightly before crossing her arms over her chest.
"I can carry my on bag." She huffed as he flicked her forehead softly. That's when she remembered she isn't alone anymore and has people she can rely on, "But thank you." She smiled before jogging after Kara and Alice. Once they were out of sight Barry began to cough violently into his elbow and took a handful of pain killers to relieve some of the pain.
He spat some blood out and picked the bags up before walking back to the cabin where Alice and Grace had already passed out due to the long car ride.
"They're so cute together." Kara smiled as he wrapped his arm around her waist and intertwined their fingers. She leaned her head on his shoulder with a small smile etched into her face until she took a deep breath
"Do you smell that?" She asked
"No, I don't have super smell." He joked
"No....I smell blood." She said sniffing around as Barry quickly wiped his hands on the back of his pants. Her eyes locked with his as she squinted slightly
"It's coming from you." She said suspiciously. Using her strength and grabbed Barry's arm and looked at it and saw blood across the forearm of his shirt
"Why is there blood on this?" She asked as Barry let out a sigh
"I-It's nothing Kara." He said as she looked at him with worried eyes
"It's not nothing, if you're hurt tell me." She said
"I can't..." He whispered
"Why not?"
"Because i can't hurt you." He said softly as she placed her hands on the sides of his face
"Whatever it is we can deal with it together, that's why you put this ring on my finger didn't you?" She asked with a smile
"I can't tell you because I want you to be happy." He smiled with pain behind his eyes
"I'll be unhappy if you don't tell me." She pouted.
"I'm......fine, I promise." He said brushing her cheek with his hand. He contemplated telling her the truth but he couldn't stomach seeing her cry again.
"Promise?" She asked as he nodded
"Promise." He smiled as they heard a thud on the floor. Kara sped over and saw Alice rubbing her head slightly as she sat on the floor.
"Did you fall?" Kara chuckled as Alice pouted and nodded. Barry walked over to her and crouched down before softly kissing her forehead.
Seeing his daughter smile up at him and his soon-to-be wife giggle at them hurt him more than the posion, in the sense that he was leaving this all. He wished, prayed for more time with him family but he could feel that his time was coming to an end.
A tear slipped from his eye knowing that God had abandoned him that there was no way to save him from his impending fate.
"What's wrong dad?" Alice asked
"Nothing." He smiled as he stood back up on his feet. His phone started to ring as he puleld it out of his pocket and brought it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey Barr, we kinda have a problem." Maddison chuckled nervously
"What did you guys do?" Barry sighed
"It's Belmont, he's here in Central and he brought an amry." She said. He hung up the phone and felt his anger rising andhis blood boiling.
"What's wrong?" Kara asked
"Maddison was just curious about something." He answered as he left the cabin. He took a deep breath before speeding away back to Central City.
Belmont started the war to he was going to end it.
Kara as confused but turned the TV on and saw the news and what was going on in Central City.
"Barry!!" She called out as she ran outside and saw leaves slowly floating down as a streak of lightning travelled towards Central City.
"Kara what's happening?" Grace asked rushing after her as Kara let out a sigh
"We need to go back to Central City." Kara said.
***"Belmont!!!" Barry yelled with his thundering voice echoing through the city. Barry was clad in his armour and his dark red lightning dancing around him, "Come out now!" He shouted causing the concrete around him to crack.
"Doesn't it hurt?" He heard a voice ask. Barry turned around and saw Belmont standing there with a taunting smile
"You're a threat to humaity and the safety of our kind." Belmont said
"You fight is with me." Barry said.
"No, our fight is with you." Belmont said as an entire army slowly marched towards Barry. He couldn't count them but it neared the hundred thousands.
"In your state you can't take on an army." Belmont said.
"Who said I would do it alone?" Barry asked as mist encompassed the battlefield. The entire road they were standing on froze over as Maddison and Oliver walked over with ice falling from her hands.
The three of them were standing there and heard a loud crash behind them and heard a fluttering cape.
"You're late." Maddison smiled as Kara stepped out of the crator she made with her hair blowing behind her.
"Yeah because my fiancee left without saying a word." Kara mumbled, "Let's do this." She said cracking her knuckles.
An amry of nearly one hundred thousand people versus four meta-humans. A battle to decide the fate of this war.
