A Family of Superheroes

Grace had heard the rumours when she was at the blacksite. A rumour that there was a tyrant with powers ruling over Central City. A demon in the shape of a man that played with dark red lightining like it was nothing. But that image she had of him was nowhere near accurate.

He had a soft and gentle smile, as if he knew what she was going through. The soft breeze of Central City was brushing against them while they walked through the streest silently. The rays of the morning sun was barely peeking through and shining down on them as Grace put her hands up to block the sunlight.

"My dad used to take me to high places to watch the sun rise." Grace smiled as Barry flited her onto his back.

"I'll take you to watch the sunrise whenever you want." Barry said as he sped away with her ontop of his back. She found themselves ontop of a building with the sun beaming onto their faces.

"Thank you Barry." Grace said thinking about her dad and his final moments, "You know, you don't have to take care of me. I can handle myself." She said as Barry crouched down.

"I never break a promise." Barry said extending his hand, "C'mon, let's go home." He said grabbed her and speeding her away again.

Kara opened her eyes and found herself cuddled next to her daughter who was still fast asleep. She got out of bed and wondered into the kitchen and saw the door open. She saw her boyfriend walk into the apartment with a twelve year old girl at his side.

"Barry?" Kara asked as he looked up at her, "Who's this?" She asked

"Long story, but i made a promise to look after her." Barry answered

"D..Dad?" He heard a soft mumble as Alice walked into the room while yawning.

"Grace, this is Kara my girlfriend and that's Alice...my daughter." Barry introduced

"H-Hi." Grace said nervously.

"Hey." Kara spoke softly seeing Grace's dirty clothes and her tear marks, "Go clean yourself up, the bathroom is the first door on the left." She said as Grace nodded and walked away.

"Dad, who is she?" Alice asked

"Your big sister." Barry smiled as a smile grew on her face. She was about to run after Grace until Kara lifted her in her arms

"Let her shower first sweetie." Kara laughed kissing the top of her head.

"How did you meet her dad?" Alice asked as Barry sighed. Kara put Alice back on her feet as she walked away to the fridge

"Kara do you remember the mask man that kidnapped Alice?" Barry asked as Kara nodded, "That's his daughter." He said, "So if it's fine by you, I would like to take her in."

"Alice approves, so I guess I have to as well." Kara laughed as she put her arms around Barry's neck, "You always had such a big heart." She said giving him a soft kiss.

"I love you." He whispered.

"I love you more, don't argue." Kara giggled putting her finger over his mouth.

"I can and will argue." Barry responded with a smile.

"I've loved you since we were kids, I win." Kara said laughing resting her head on his chest.

"Fine....I'll admit defeat for now." Barry said kissing her neck as she melted his in arms.

"Ewww daddy that's weird." Alice whined tugging on his shirt. Kara laughed softly before kissing Alice's forehead and at that moment they heard the bathroom door unlock and Grace came out with her old clothes in her hands.

She was about to speak up until she felt someone hugging her and saw Alice giggling into her shirt.

"You're my big sister now." Alice said as a smile dawned on Grace's face.

"Yeah...I am." Grace responded returning the hug as Kara's eyes nearly metled from the brightness of her two daughters.

"They're so cute." Kara gushed as Barry supported her up.

Barry looked down at his girlfriend and saw her smiling like a kid on Christmas morning and decided in that moment a ring would look really good on her.

"Woahhhhh, who's this?" Maddison asked as Alice smiled up at her.

"Y-You're her?" Grace asked with a hint of fear in her eyes.

"I'm who?" Maddison asked confused

"You're the one who froze that base and wiped out an entire army." She said as Maddison chuckled nervously, "The Ice Calamity."

"T-That's me I guess, but I'm not sure about the name though." Maddison laughed

"What's this now?" Oliver asked walking into the room as Grace snapped her eyes to him.

"You're the Arrow!" Grace said excitedly as Oliver gave her a look of confusion, "W-When I was captured i overhead conversations aobut the meta-humans. The Red Death, The Ice Calamity, The Arrow and Supergirl." She smiled

"Who's Supergirl?" Kara asked confused as everyone looked to her.

"Who do you think?" Maddison asked

"Me?" She asked confused

"Yes......you." Oliver said 

The reports said that the meta-humans were dangerous and would kill anyone on site, but now looking at them they just look like a normal family.

"Where's my name?" Alice whined, "I also have powers." She said

"Wait, am I the only without powers?" Grace asked as everyone nodded. Grace frowned slightly as Kara rubbed her head.

"We'll protect you, don't worry." Kara smiled.

She lost her mother when she was five and lost her father yesterday but she feels at home around these people. This was her new family.....a family of superheroes.
