18 - Gotta Let it Go

Chapter 18

 

 

I woke up the next morning and he was gone. Lazily, i rolled out of bed and into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and examined my face. It was NOT a good sight. I sighed and got ready for school.

An hour later i was ready. I grabbed my bag and threw it over my shoulders. I opened the door and spotted darnell outside his house straight away. He sat on the wall outside his house on the phone. He had his permanent screw face on. Slowly i closed the door hoping he wouldn't see me..Unfortunately in order to go to school i'd have to walk in his direction. As soon as i left my door he spotted me. He stopped talking and looked up at me. He indicated for me to come over to him but was interrupted by Leila so I continued walking until i reached the busstop and waited patiently for my bus.

I sat on the packed school bus praying the driver would speed up. As usual everyone was on the bus ..Darnell, Cashel, Their Guys, Leila etc and were making loud, unnesscesary noise. I sat right at the back by the window next to cashel ..and i wish i hadn't. From the corner of my eye i could see Darnell staring at me. Im not gonna lie ..i was still upset about what had happened yesterday, but i won't let that show.

Eventually, we reached our destinations and got off the bus. I saw Lizzie walking towards the school gates. I gave her a big hug before we made our way into school.

"Babe, are you alright?" Liz asked me

"Yeah, im fine"

"You sure? You don't look it"

"Honestly Liz, im ok"

I walked on faster leaving her to catch up with me.

I sat in the games room on the desk sorting out me and darnell's project. On top of that i had all my incompleted courseworks which were due by the end of the week. Everything was just stressing me out!

"ARRGGH" I screamed out in frustration

"Woaaah calm down fam"

I looked up and saw Cashel smirking. He sat down opposite me and picked up my notes.

"Im sorry, im a little bit stressed" I mumbled

He read some of my notes and scoffed. "I don't understand a word of this bruv"

"Mm ..you never will" I said

I noticed that he kept staring at me for some odd reason ..
